In the last 5 years electricity and home gas prices have gotten so high we struggle to heat and cool apartments and homes and must sacrifice comfort, groceries and medical care to pay exorbitant utilities. Meanwhile, the entire district, including Becker, serves 100% certified halal (SHARIA) meat in all school lunches. Every child, Muslim or not, is forced to eat meat ritually slaughtered while conscious, facing Mecca, with prayers to Allah recited over it. During Ramadan, they now provide free taxpayer-funded take-home iftar meals for fasting students — expanded this year to elementary kids so they can break their fast at home.
