The Labour Muslim Network has written to @YvetteCooperMP following reports of police officers threatening Palestine protesters with arrest. Holding a Palestinian flag, condemning the ongoing genocide and calling for freedom for Gaza is not illegal. This is about our democracy.

Today's attack in Golders Green is shocking and appalling. We are thankful to the emergency services who reacted quickly in response and likely saved many lives. Our prayers are with the victims, their families and everyone who will undoubtedly be shaken by this attack.

There has been an appalling attack on two Jewish Londoners in Golders Green. The police have made an arrest and I’d like to thank all the emergency services and heroic volunteers from @Hatzola @ShomrimLondon in the area for their swift response to this horrific incident. I’m in close contact with the @MetPoliceUK, who will be providing further updates. London’s Jewish community have been the target of a series of shocking antisemitic attacks. There must be absolutely no place for antisemitism in society. The Met have stepped up high visibility patrols in the area. I urge anyone who has any information to call police on 101, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously.

On April 23rd 1977, anti fascists came together to stop the National Front marching through Haringey. I was two years old at the time, living in Wood Green with my family. They don’t remember much but they do recall feeling scared. No one should ever have to feel like this.

🚨 The Home Office has now BARRED Valentina Gomez from the UK. This is the right decision following our (and many others) calls and writings to government officials. Valentina Gomez is a dangerous and divisive figure and her Electronic Travel Authorisation has now been revoked.

Israel’s parliament has now passed law allowing military courts to impose the death penalty…but only for Palestinians. They can be held in isolation, have legal access limited to video calls, and executed within 90 days.

A 21 month old baby in Gaza released from Israeli custody has been returned to his family with suspected torture wounds. These include cigarette burns and signs of torture. Sky News reports ⬇️
