I am heartbroken. I have built such an amazing community here from the ground up. This was so sudden i still havn't processed it. I love each and every one of you that i met thru @playnewworld. We went thru and did screenshots on every server. This is just one of them. I hope you all continue to support me on my new adventures. Just know i will always be as passionate as i always have been on any game i play. I love you all so much beyond words. Thank you for changing my life.

Summary of the AGS news YouTube video just went live (youtube.com/watch?v=Y2J1e4…) but here's some more personal thoughts I want to add to this situation: New World was a passion project for it's dev team, and no matter what the naysayers may naysay, it showed. From the community managers, systems designers, concept and environment artists like Lydia, Joel, Raelynn, Josh, etc to the senior designers and leads like Katy, Dave, Scot, Rachel, etc, and even then to those we've seen come and go like Sky and Shadowfox etc, everyone of them gave their heart to this game. Aeternum is the world they built and the story they told, and my heartfelt sorrow goes out to them, and also my heartfilled thanks. It's been a home for so many of us for almost 5 years now, and it's a home I don't know how to say goodbye to, even though I know I will soon have to. To every single New World creator, I want to say: be proud. I've seen so many of you make a name for yourselves here, and not a single one of those names is anything less than awesome. I've seen @JayOddity go from a new, casual player in The Shire/The Rabbits who had never turned on a webcam, to a full-time content creator. I've seen the ultimate girl squad form, spearheaded by @rozilol and Linda etc to take PvP and Wars by storm. I've seen so many of us gain traction and support from the kind of sponsors we'd always dreamed of. There's so many people I want to thank, but a couple of honourable mentions of the top of my head are: @DannehTV, @Kanon_XO, I'm honoured to share an agency and a gaming space with you. @TrickTrickms, you're a brother and a true friend. @YaBoiWiilly, you're the most refreshing, heart-on-sleeve guy, and I hope you never change. @MikaOSRS, you were my first rival, and the best I could've asked for. Your company made The Shire rage and go full tryhard in wars in ways I will really miss. @playnewworld you were an adventure I'll be forever grateful for.

No way New World is shutting down when they just launched their best content to date. The game finally had a chase, a whole redesign of the gear system, a change in lead for the game, only to get shafted. I guess I’m more upset that AGS delivered us heartbreak once more, after this update finally left like the game had hope. Unbelievable.

I've heard the news, and yeah, I don't know what to say. I think I'm saddest for our @playnewworld devs, so my initial thoughts go to them.

There are many people that have stepped on the shores of Aeternum. However there is only 1 Wiilly. I went from a depressed stay at dad in a very bad relationship. To a Community leader in @playnewworld. I now have a beautiful Fiancee and am happier than ever. From 0 followers to almost 22 THOUSAND. I've been a full time streamer for this game for almost 4 years. Thru all the ups and downs. Willy was here. I even got this game tatted on me. I will forever be forged in aeternum and i hope people remember the legacy i leave behind. However this is not the end of my streaming career by any means. I will be streaming as always. If you see me out there just know that i am a passionate, loving, caring, and vibey dude. I am looking forward to stepping my toes in new communities. I will be forever grateful for New World and the people that made it possible. I love you all 💜

Bittersweet doesn’t even begin to cover it. I’m so deeply proud of what we built and the incredible team that brought Aeternum to life. I'll always remember sitting at Amrine Temple on launch day just watching players discover what we made.
