@jonbrooks No one wants a pre-fab shitbox house 10ft from their neighbors either....
English

@jasonesteves How about we stop building homes 10ft apart from one another?!!?? Lets stop giving people less than an 1/8th of an acre with a pre-fab shit box and charging 600k+.

The housing crisis is hurting hardworking Georgians all across the state, whether you're buying, renting, or downsizing.
As governor, I will take on private equity funds and stop them from buying up our single-family homes.

I’m paying close to $300 a tank to run my truck. And that’s not including gas for farm activity. I have a farm. I can’t haul any livestock ANYWHERE. Neither can my neighbors who have cattle. One of them sold all his cattle and he’s out of the business. I know many farmers who grow hay, wheat, pumpkin, corn, cattle and they’re going under. People do not understand how much trouble we are in as a country.

@JalenElrod Further proof that the blacks will destroy anything. Carnival cruise line is next y'all.

Alot of Black people lost their jobs because of Spirt’s demise.
Alot more Black people lost affordable ways to travel. Spirit shutting down isn’t something to celebrate. Especially given the impetus of its demise.
There’s alot of elitism I see in comments about this. It’s sad.

@Laceeyez @OurOldDad @wcdispatch Spend one day subbing and then come back and tell us how much teachers ought to be paid.
English

I do not support increasing teacher pay. The reality is that public school teachers work 2/3rds of the year, receive better benefits than nearly everyone, and work less.
It’s worth noting that private school teachers almost universally are paid less than public school teachers, yet have universally better results from students.
It’s not about pay. It’s about culture. And the culture that public schools inculcate is not beneficial for society.
Erin Derham@HistoryBoutique
I FULLY support increasing teachers pay, but… this is not about teachers pay. Dems have co-opted teachers around the country into protesting against the current administration. All in the name of an obvious issue, low salaries. It’s smoke and mirrors, folks. The number of administrators has grown 20 times larger than the number of students. Admissions are declining. Literacy is declining. The real answer if you actually care about teachers… Mass deportations and firing of bloated administrations.

@OurOldDad @Apollo_1776 @wcdispatch Also, it's really easy to see cars in the driveway, you don't have to be a "creep" to be aware of your surroundings.

Thankfully, I don't live next to a creep who monitors my life. But have you considered that it is possible to grade papers, write lessons, and do virtually every aspect of a teaching job from home (except for being in front of the classes). So I also am at home a lot. I always work at home. Would you like an invite in for proof?

@HeidiBriones It's always the guys with fugly penises too. Mishapen, weird proportions, crooked, just vile looking members. Like, ew. At least show me a nice pretty peen. If I get sent a fuly peen, i respond with the most vile looking vag I can find a pic of. Like blue waffle bad.

@Apollo_1776 @wcdispatch Teachers should be paid hourly and not salary imo. I live next to 2 public school teachers and the amount of time they are at home is absurd. They never go in early or stay late. And summers, they barely leave their house.
English

I’m a right wing public school teacher.
I respectfully disagree with your position.
2/3rd is not accurate at all.
We work from mid-August until about mid-june and the two months over the summer still have occasional workshop days and trainings.
That said, even though the benefits can be pretty good, the salary is generally lower to begin with so it’s not always as good as you’d think.
Private school don’t always outperform public schools, and there is one MASSIVE difference that you might not be taking into account - the demographics.
Private school get to decide which students they allow in.
Private schools attract families that obviously value and pay attention to their child’s education.
Public schools take any and all - the good, the bad and the ugly.
Private schools aren’t really comparable for that reason - it’s apples and oranges.
Culture is probably your most salient argument. It’s true that leftist culture had a stronger presence than conservative values.
In my opinion, i think increasing teacher pay is probably the best way to make the pool of candidates higher quality.
Elon recently said “incentives explain outcomes.””
Where’s the financial incentive to attract brighter, better teachers?
You get what you pay for.
Cutting or stagnating wages is part of the reason we have so many low quality, low iq teachers in many classrooms. It pushed our best to pursue other professions.
