This guy posted a video of himself playing chess inside the Louvre Museum in Paris, wearing his agbada, and called it a proud moment saying he was the first Nigerian to do it.
Immediately, people started dragging him hard: “Is that even an achievement?”, “He’s just playing by himself”, “How do you know you’re the first?”, “Clout chasing”, all that kind of talk.
What you guys should understand is that personal wins are personal.
What looks small or unnecessary to someone else can be a really big deal to the person who did it.
For Tunde, walking into one of the world’s most famous museums and setting up a chessboard there might have felt like a meaningful milestone.
He’s been pushing chess from the slums, teaching kids, holding a real Guinness World Record. So maybe in that moment he thought, “Let me add my own small chapter here.”
If he searched online and didn’t see any other Nigerian claiming or posting about doing the same thing, why shouldn’t he say he’s the first (at least the first one he knows of)?
And let’s be honest: we see white people and folks from other countries do this kind of thing all the time.
Someone from abroad travels to Nigeria or any other country, does something simple like visiting a landmark, trying local food, or even just sitting somewhere with a unique vibe, and they post it as a big personal achievement or “bucket list” moment.
Nobody drags them or says it’s not valid.
So why is it suddenly a problem when a
Nigerian travels somewhere and does something like opening a chessboard in a famous museum? It’s the same energy.
We should celebrate small wins too. They can inspire others, especially young people. Life is already hard, let people enjoy and share their moments in peace.

I really hope this video goes viral and the Nigeria Police Force sees this and does something about it. This happened in Abulado, Lagos. Me and my guy @ehispascal were on a bike when four officers stopped us. We came down peacefully, no issues at all. One officer was talking to me, another to my guy. Everything was calm. They were asking questions and we answered calmly because we had nothing to hide. They asked me to open my phone, and I didn’t hesitate because I didn’t want any problem. Suddenly, out of nowhere, one man came from behind and slapped me. Even the officer checking my phone was shocked and asked what just happened. At that moment, I didn’t even know he was a police officer because he wasn’t in uniform. Out of anger, I reacted and slapped him back and even tried to confront him. That’s when the others held me and told me he was an officer. That’s when I realized everything was already planned. Next thing, all of them started beating us. It was bad. My guy’s face even got swollen. They then threatened to take us to the station. I told them no problem, let’s go, but the officer who slapped me must come along too. I told them when we get to the station, they would know who my father is. They kept asking for his name, but I refused and said they would find out at the station. That’s when they got scared. Instead of taking us to the station, they drove us to a bridge, dropped us there, and told us to go.

Update on the Jerseys Giveaway
Good evening everyone,
As of this morning, I have successfully dispatched 10 out of the 15 jerseys courtesy of @victorosimhen9.
This is because @_abdulakeem_ has so far shared the list of 10 winners with me since Thursday. The remaining 5 will be sent out immediately once he provides the full details.
Out of the 10 dispatched:
- 4 recipients are in Lagos.
- I have confirmed safe delivery for 3 of them.
- The 4th recipient wasn’t available at the time of delivery, so I personally connected him with the rider over a call to arrange pickup.
All deliveries are being handled with care across Lagos and different cities according to the location of whoever he picks.
On the feedback about the fabric: These are the official Player Version jerseys — the lighter, more breathable material designed for on-pitch performance (same grade used by professionals). They are not the heavier fan/replica versions. one of the winner have expressed dissatisfaction on the preference saying they want thicker style but these are the jerseys I won’t put fake out there.
