CIRB Declares Flight Attendant Strike at Air Canada Unlawful and Orders CUPE Leaders to Direct Flight Attendants Back to Work : aircanada.com/media/cirb-dec…
@AirCanada It’s Air Canada that looks horrible here… if you have an employee at work for their scheduled shift on time then pay them. You’re expecting flight attendants to serve people representing your company by helping passengers, luggage, safety checks, etc for free? Disgusting
As of 8 pm EDT on August 15, 2025, this is the operational wind down impact due to the impending CUPE strike:
Total flights cancelled: 623
People impacted: 100,100

@ABDanielleSmith Danielle, get better mentors. We are Canadian, we are on Indigenous land. Stop trying to destroy and privatize us. We do not want to separate. Yes we have energy and I am an oil and gas girl… but I’m not narrow minded. We need to diversify and collaborate.
Albertans have had enough of Ottawa’s economic attacks on our province and know it’s time to take a stand.
That’s why today I am launching the Alberta Next Panel.
Our province has contributed immensely to the prosperity of this country, yet Ottawa continues to attack our economy, abuse Alberta taxpayers with unfair equalization and federal transfers, and destructively interfere in multiple areas of provincial jurisdiction - from resource development to environmental policy to child care to health care.
This status quo threatens our province’s economic future and way of life. We owe it to all Albertans and future generations to address and solve this challenge without delay.
The Alberta Next Panel is a province-wide series of in-person and virtual town halls, where your voice, your ideas, and your values will help shape Alberta’s road ahead.
The panel gives you a seat at the table to:
• Speak directly with government and industry leaders, constitutional scholars, and policy experts
• Explore ideas for Alberta to assert our constitutional rights to prosper and become an equal partner in confederation
• Discuss how we can protect Alberta from outside economic attacks going forward
And when the panel has finished its work, it will recommend which ideas should be put to the people of Alberta for a referendum vote in 2026.
Visit Alberta.ca/next. Get involved. Learn more. Have your say.
@GeorgeCrawIN@RpsAgainstTrump He maybe a clown but with followers who will murder for him (capital building incident) and one of the most powerful positions in the world. Americans put him there. We will end up in world war 3. He’s already said he would use force against us.
@ABDanielleSmith If fentanyl is the problem, search everyone and if someone is caught with it; have the shoot it, snort it, all of it. Fentanyl gone and hopefully so is the criminal.
Diplomacy is working and we cannot understate the importance of our tariff free relationship with the U.S.. What I’ve seen with President Donald Trump is that he’s prepared to make a deal and that’s why Canada and its leaders should be focused on advocating about how our raw materials such as energy, steel, aluminum, potash, uranium, and more, are absolutely essential to America’s success.
@ABDanielleSmith This was never an issue. Children have never been able to have sex-re-assignment surgeries. Hormones and puberty blockers are not permitted but are reversible. Where are you getting your research homophobes are us? Or rather Higgs who has destroyed NB, yeah what a role model.
In less than a month, our UCP government will introduce critical legislation to ensure that children wait until adulthood before making decisions to physically alter their bodies for gender transition. We will also strengthen parental rights within our education system regarding this issue and ensure that women and girls can compete in female-only sports divisions.
While these are sensitive topics, our government believes these measures are in the best interests of children, and we will proceed with these changes without delay.
As this legislation is debated, we invite all Albertans to join the conversation. Regardless of differing opinions, we must ensure that all children identifying as transgender know they are cared for and supported.
Should Wegovy, the $400-a-month obesity medication, be covered by the provinces? cbc.ca/radio/thecurre…

@GlobalCalgary Disgrace to our country. Would vote for a sock over this privileged spoiled ignorant excuse for a human, crippling our Canadian people for no reason

@Gov_NB Working? What about a single senior on a fixed income? He doesn’t qualify for senior low income but with rent, meds, bills … he doesn’t have anything extra
We know how important it is to make ends meet. Beginning Feb. 27, eligible New Brunswickers are encouraged to apply for the $300 N.B. Workers Benefit, which should help to ease some of the financial pressures so many are facing.

@dondarlingSJ@PierrePoilievre A politician will never be transparent on how they plan to accomplish pipe dreams. Slimey sales pitch for the ignorant. Fact remains politics is a game of chess. Not 1 can play a game of chess by themselves. He’s selling a story
🔵 CHARGES LAID 🔵
We have charged two teenage boys, ages 13 & 14, in relation to an altercation that occurred yesterday at Brookfield Residential YMCA at Seton.

@CTVAtlantic There are lots of data out there and it can be spun anyway. Understand the context and background of that data. Typical NB back in the old days of judgement of those not fitting in the little box.
@dondarlingSJ It’s sad that politicians are just in for a pissing match and a pension.
Education is key. Oil and gas is not all bad. Those companies are changing their processes and recycling.
Farming, Dairy etc… people need to support their families.
I just filled my truck with Diesel fuel at $2.08L and in Toronto You can buy Diesel fuel today for $1.67L. That would have saved me over $45 on one tank. It’s not the carbon tax folks, it’s a refusal by political leaders to put all the facts on the table and lower the cost of living for hard working families. We need less political point scoring and more action on lower costs. #lowercosts#actionplease#truthmatters#surgingprofits
@DaveZormanYYC@allisonjade I did the survey, that’s how I know it’s scewed.
There is not even a simple question of “are you in favour of a Alberta pension plan” or “Do you want to stay with CPP”
The entire survey is built as you are in support of the Alberta pension plan.
