@DrevisSSB A game where attacking first wins is more fun to watch than the opposite. The most boring chars to watch are those that win by forcing approached. In that sense, ultimate is pretty well designed minus a few exceptions.

@LadeNotIRL I think it depends on how you define it, if mashing is pressing buttons without intent, obviously that still doesn't work at high level in ultimate
But ultimate does reward attacking first with a majority of the roster imo.

Mashing still doesn't even work in ultimate. Referring to anyone with high APM as a masher is cringe.

Way too many people don’t know the word “masher” never existed in smash before ult bc it wasn’t even a valid way to play. Whiffing 5 combo starters>spotdodge>smash attack x2 wasn’t “playing Mr G&W correctly” it was instant death. Unspeakable things would happen to you actually.
