I need to vent for a moment. Just got back in contact with one of my best friends from high school a few months ago after about 20 years. Everything has been going along fine, and we have been trying to make plans to get together finally. However, I found out today that he is a major Trump supporter. I am crushed. I mean, what in the actual fuck am I supposed to do now? He wants to make it seem like we can still be friends with political differences. But here's the deal - that's now a dealbreaker for me. Family, friend or otherwise. I'm not interested in being understanding anymore. Fuck that. I already tried that for years now. So, I really don't know what to do. Feeling disheartened and confused.

It is so bizarre to me how some of the most prominent voices on the right & left really appear to think that this election is the end of democracy. I don’t know what alternate reality you have to live in to get there, but it’s not the real world. Whoever wins, America will be OK.

It's not just that Trump won. It's that Joe Rogan, Dana White and Brett Favre won. Jailed insurrectionists won. The Alitos and the Thomases won. Vladimir Putin won. Racism won. Misogyny won. Sexism won. Global warming won. Xenophobia won. Most of all: Fear Won. That's what hurts.
