A lot of people don’t know that the first EMS service in the country was started by Black Pittsburghers, when local police and fire refused to serve them. On the last day of Black History Month, I spoke on the House Floor to honor their contributions to medicine.

We are well past the time when EtCO2 should be added to the National EMS Scope of Practice for BLS providers. While we’re at it…let’s also add supraglottic airways, IM benzodiazepines for seizures, & a host of other lifesaving interventions. #NAEMSP2024 @hashimzMD

@DrJenGunter I did the math based on the surface area of an average human body, but it doesn’t take much loss of structural integrity to implode under the equivalent weight of 12 fully loaded cement trucks. And I may have mathed wrong- it could actually be 24 cement trucks.

Can someone explain to me how a crack the size of a hair can cause an implosion in an submersible? I could see how it would cause the hull to fracture. Or is that the same thing?

Countless men have directly benefited from abortion. Few say so. My partner chose to get an abortion when I was a young man. I supported her in making that decision and I benefited from that choice. Other men who are willing to share how they benefited from abortion, please do.
