We’ve been doing a lot of AI enablement work lately at @ThisDotLabs, and it’s been amazing to see how quickly organizations are adapting. In one recent engagement, a follow-up survey showed that daily AI tool usage grew from 33% to 100%, and the share of people who felt confident using these tools increased from 55% to 83%. That kind of progress reflects more than just tool adoption. It shows what happens when a team learns how to integrate AI into everyday workflows. If your organization is exploring how to embed AI into your operations or upskill your teams, we’d love to share what we’ve learned! Feel free to reach out anytime.

Most teams have access to #AI now. Not as many have figured out how to actually use it inside real engineering workflows without slowing things down or creating more noise. Ready yourself for the new AI engineering landscape at @ThisDotLabs' AI Tooling and Workflow Workshop. Major topics covered: • building a reliable Spec → AI → Code → Validation loop • getting better output from LLMs with structured specs • using agents to handle docs, tests, PR reviews, and tickets • putting guardrails in place so things don’t go off the rails April 22, 2026. 11AM–5PM ET Use Code ThisDotX for $50 Tickets at Checkout RSVP: ai.thisdot.co/workshops

A lot of leadership comes down to everyday consistency: - Following up when you said you would. - Giving credit in the moment. - Making time to help, even when you’re busy. It’s rarely one big decision. It’s the accumulation of how you show up every day.

Coming up next week! I'm bringing the @ThisDotLabs team together to share what we’re seeing across real teams trying to operationalize #AI. Where it’s working, where it’s breaking, and what people are changing to make it stick. If you’re past the experimentation phase and trying to make this part of your workflow, this is the conversation. April 9 · 12:30–2:30 PM EDT Featuring @ElliottFouts, CTO @BrandonMathis, Engineering Lead Coston Perkins, Engineering Lead @JonFontanez, AI Engineering Lead RSVP and Learn more: luma.com/g1oamnu3

The pace of change in tech right now is a lot to keep up with. New AI tooling, shifting workflows, constant updates across frameworks… it’s easy to miss what actually matters. That’s exactly why we put together The Load Down. It’s a curated newsletter from the @ThisDotLabs team covering: • what’s happening in AI and modern development • real conversations from our podcasts and livestreams • practical insights from teams working through this in real time If you want to stay current without having to track everything yourself, subscribe here 👇 thisdot.co/newsletter

Last week, I joined the @TAGthink's Digital Health Signature Event. Really interested to continue hearing how people are thinking about AI in care delivery right now, especially what’s actually working vs what’s still theoretical. If you're local to Atlanta, you should definitely get involved with @TAGthink Digital Health! tagonline.org/society/digita…

One of the most underrated career skills is following up. Most people have good conversations and let them die there, and the ones who stand out are just the ones who don’t.

There’s a difference between moving faster and actually improving outcomes. On April 9, we’re digging into where AI is genuinely helping teams ship better work, not just more of it. We’ll cover what’s working, what’s not, and what needs to change in planning, development, and execution for AI to have real impact. Join us for State of AI! We spent an afternoon with engineering leaders talking through what AI adoption actually looks like beyond pilots and prototypes. This AI Leadership Exchange, hosted with Nx, focused less on tools and more on where things are breaking down in real workflows. A few patterns kept coming up in conversation: - Teams getting traction are reworking how planning, reviews, and delivery happen, not just layering AI on top - As generation speeds up, pressure shifts to review, testing, and decision-making - Adoption is still slowed down by trust, ownership, and lack of clarity across teams - Security and guardrails are becoming part of the core workflow, not an afterthought - Process debt shows up fast when AI accelerates everything We’re running this again in Atlanta on June 12 for engineering leaders who want to compare notes with peers working through the same challenges. If you want to join, DM @ladyleet.

Right now, a lot of engineering orgs are stuck in experimentation mode, testing prompts, trying agents, but not seeing consistent impact in how they ship. This workshop is about closing that gap. @thisdotlabs is breaking down how teams are actually integrating AI into real workflows, including how to structure prompts, where agents fit, and how to automate parts of the dev cycle without adding noise. It’s practical, grounded, and built around what’s working today. 🎟 ai.thisdot.co/workshops Use code THISDOTX for $50 tickets!

In last week's live session with @MazenChami, @BrandonMathis, and @GantLaborde, we got into what #AI actually looks like inside @ReactNative workflows, where it’s helping, where it still falls short, and how teams are thinking about agent-driven development in practice. A few themes that stood out: • AI is great at handling the repetitive work, which gives developers more space to focus on the parts that actually matter • Strong foundations still matter, especially when it comes to testing, debugging, and understanding what the code is doing • The future isn’t fully autonomous agents, it’s better collaboration between engineers and AI systems Check it out: youtube.com/watch?v=GtJSct…

I’ll be at @stripe Sessions 2026 on April 29–30. Always one of the best rooms to get a real sense of where payments and commerce are heading, especially with everything moving so quickly around AI and automation. Looking forward to conversations on AI-native payments, agentic commerce, fraud, stablecoins, and modern revenue models. Who will I see there? stripesessions.com

Where do we actually draw the line with AI? This clip gets into that through @claudeai Cowork, but in the full episode we zoom out and look at what’s really shifting across the space. Agentic tools acting on your computer, experiments with always-on AI, Anthropic testing usage limits, and @Meta moving into agent ecosystems. It’s all happening faster than most teams can process. Check out the episode with me and @BrandonMathis! youtube.com/watch?v=EyBVOK…

Most teams have tried #AI by now. The harder part is turning it into something that actually improves how your team builds software. On April 22, @ThisDotLabs is running a hands-on AI Workshop for Engineering Teams focused on real workflows, not hype. We’ll cover: • agent-driven development patterns • structuring prompts and context for reliability • where AI actually speeds up day-to-day engineering Featuring @ElliottFouts from @ThisDotLabs 🎟 Use code THISDOTX for $50 tickets ai.thisdot.co/workshops 🚀
