@AliceKlaes @JonnyRoot_ I’m not speaking to their reaction. I’m choosing to hope someone in that room was at least uncomfortable. Trump made it clear they aren’t respected at the same level though they have to fight 10x harder for resources. That more than supports the women made the correct choice.

@JonnyRoot_ I think you missed the part where he said he’d “have to invite them too or be impeached.” Not genuine respect. They respectfully declined and will be better for it. No woman should be forced in a room with that man.

I think this is a massive mistake by the women’s team… This is an amazing opportunity, and they’re squandering it. If the men’s team can attend the State of the Union on Tuesday, and resume the second half of the NHL season on Wednesday, the women, or at least the majority, can sacrifice and do the same.
