People misunderstand nobility so they miss why the anointment of God is so important and not some play at adding legitimacy. The nobleman must view himself literally as a higher being, separate and distinct from the common man, in order to love the common man. Think about why we on the right love animals so much, we constantly worry about their welfare, we pity their weaknesses, admire their strengths and see flashes of kinship in their most noble moments. If we saw ourselves the same as animals, and not of a higher spiritual order entirely, we would not love them as we do. So God or ordains the nobility so the nobility has the capacity for genuine love of the common man and find purpose in protecting his wellbeing.
