Lineker’s right. #ENG have been poor. He's telling it as it is, and reflecting the views of many. Lineker and Shearer also made constructive, informed points about how a forward like Kane can stretch three-man defences. England have to man up and deal with criticism which is football-related and valid. It's not personal. Lineker and Shearer care about England and want them to do well. Cheerleading the team won’t help England; highlighting tactical concerns will. btw the level of criticism levelled at Kane's squad is mild compared to what Lineker's England endured before Italia 90 (and first game, "Bring Them Home") and Shearer's England before Euro 96 (and first game "Gazza Must Go"). #EURo2024
