Really enjoying @RestIsFootball on Netflix.
Men sat around a kitchen island giving insightful analysis with bold glasses of red wine on the go
BUT, it’s killing me the cheese board is untouched
There is no way six guys drinking and near a cheese board aren’t demolishing it
Also, as part of the breakdown @GaryLineker should detail the wine being drunk and cheeses on display. Maybe cheeses of those countries being discussed

@matthammond9 82 went went out unbeaten ! That’s when the heartache began …
English

@OC Probably same as you, born in 71 but can only remember Spain 82
English

HOW MANY WORLD CUPS OLD ARE YOU?
From the first one you watched
I’m 12 World Cup old
My first World Cup I watched was the 1982 World Cup in Spain. I was 9.
Still remember being sat on the floor of our little front room, dad in his chair behind me, and seeing Bryan Robson score in the first 27 seconds of our opening game
Against France! Think Paul
Mariner scored next
12th world cup,
Come on England x

AUSTRALIA! The Socceroos will beat Türkiye today.
My shows World Cup Predicting Tigers, went for the Socceroos
Enjoy the game

English

The World Cup begins tomorrow, and many will watch the matches. Soccer reminds us of something we must not forget: life is not a race to show off on our own, but a path we learn to walk together. Anyone who does not know how to pass the ball, even if they have talent, has not yet understood the game. Anyone who does not know how to live with and for others has not yet understood life. #ApostolicJourney

@PaulTonkinson Yeah it’s such a joy and your years of stand up would have schooled you in the craft of it all. Like when a bit that’s kinda there just clicks
English

@OC Ha !!!
I’ll read yours.
I actually think they’ll be slight cross over themes.
I love writing. The “ getting it right ..”
English

A box turned up today.
I knew it was coming. Still wasn't ready for it.
Three years of drafts, doubt, deleting whole chapters at 5am, and now it's a thing you can hold. To me, books are magical.
UNSCRIPT. The radical act of being yourself.
I'll tell you the truth.
I sat on the couch and held it to my heart. That's where it came from.
Out 29 July. Pre-order now Booktopia, use code BRIGHTSIDE20, get 20% off, and you go in the draw to come watch the show live and meet the team — my way of saying thank you to the people who got in early.

@foxinthebox2010 Great talent and show too. Not interested into being moulded into any one way in radio or life !
English

@OC Thought you were more in the Tommy Boyd mould.
His human zoo was something else.
English

What a trailblazing show this was. Before I started in radio, this was my schooling in how a master like Danny can really play with radios possibilities
Danny Baker@prodnose
All modern football shows can be put down to when I started 606 on the BBC in 1991. The first irreverent, irrelevant fan opinion space on national radio. We ignored the big headlines to swap stories. Until then fans, mad or ridiculous, had no authentic voice.
English

@CameronYardeJnr @jamiesont Yeah mine too. Ronnie Barkers comedic and dramatic genius
English

@OC @jamiesont It's my favourite British sitcom. So perfectly cast with all the characters with Ronnie Barker's magnificent performance at the head of it all. Clement & La Frenais wrote two perfect episodes 1 with the pilot then again with episode 1 proper.
English

Harry Grout only appeared in THREE episodes of the sitcom Porridge. THREE!
John Pitchford🌹💙@Johnnypapa64
Actor Peter Vaughan as ‘genial’ Harry Grout in a still from Porridge (the movie)
