Why does the Islamic Republic of Iran chant Death to America? Because in their view we are a Godless nation. But since the early days of America we have always been a nation that respects the Holiness and Power of God.
Freedom of religion means the freedom of the individual to manifest their relationship with the universe on their own terms. For what does any of us have if not for our own unique and singular relationship with all of creation?
Respect for the individual is not Godless. America exists for the purpose of protecting each of our inalienable rights and freedoms, including the right to practice our faith and conscience freely. The nation exists to protect this rights of the masses, including the protection of minorities. Freedom dies when one group is allowed to unduly oppress the rights and aspirations of another.
Our government exists in part to protect the individual’s right to an uncoerced and deeply personal relationship with the divine source.

@mhdksafa What does international humanitarian law have to say about Iran advocating for the destruction of other UN member states? If international law is to count for anything, let’s start with the basics.

@GovernorShapiro 100% agree. And a clear vision of a just and purposeful society.

Political violence — and the hate that fuels it — has become far too common in our society.
We saw it here in Harrisburg when an arsonist attacked the Governor’s Residence and tried to kill me and my family this time last year.
We saw it when the Minnesota Speaker of the House, Melissa Hortman, and her husband were gunned down in their home.
We saw it with the assassination of Charlie Kirk in broad daylight.
Political violence has no place in our politics. We all have a responsibility as elected leaders to speak and act with moral clarity. And to universally condemn political violence in all its forms, no matter what side it comes from or who is targeted.

@Gliner @Ostrov_A @drpezeshkian The think the people of the world are stupid and ignorant, and for the most part they are correct.

“Portraying Iran as a threat is neither consistent with historical reality nor with present-day observable facts.”

🚨A host went on live TV begging ordinary Iranians NOT to leak the hiding locations of regime officials to Israel! He literally cried that if the people expose their coordinates, “it's over” and they will be eliminated.
The Islamic Republic is terrified because they know the ultimate truth: millions of Iranians are acting as the eyes and ears of Israel on the ground.
The Iranian people are actively cooperating to hunt down their oppressors. We are allies in this fight. 🇮🇱🇮🇷

Short version of every Jewish holiday: “They tried to kill us, we won, let’s eat.”
In a thousand years the Jewish people will look back at this time as a historic victory over our persecutors, when despite the world, and the odds, being against us, we prevailed with the help of a divine hand.

I've been doing a lot of @CNN lately and I have concluded the Democratic position on Iran is:
1. We should surrender
2. Iran, with enriched uranium, a Navy, an Air Force, and missiles was less dangerous than one without.
3. We can't afford to use our missiles
4. We are not for making more missiles
5. We should keep letting Americans die from Iranian terror forever instead of stopping it.
6. We should surrender
It's totally nonsensical.

Happy Passover to the Jewish communities in Ukraine and around the world. I wish the light of these days to bring peace, safety, and goodness to every family. Especially to all those who celebrate this holiday during times of war. It is time to restore security. It is time for all leaders to act together to create greater opportunities for a normal life. It is time for everyone with goodwill in their hearts to unite so that everyone has reliable protection and a good life.

We see that many Iranians around the world respect Ukraine and are grateful that we did not stay silent about their pain and their desire to end dictatorship and live freely. And we all should act to help them.
We feel that, despite all the disinformation, American hearts have not grown cold – they support those who fight for freedom, and they support us in defending ourselves against Russian aggression. It is important.

Western civilization may never win another war if this keeps up
This is maddening. The radical left, mainstream media, and the woke right are running the exact same playbook with the US/Israel campaign against Iran as they did with Israel in Gaza
They create impossible standards in terms of:
-Zero Casualties
-Zero Economic Disruption
-Zero Uncertainty
-Zero Time to Accomplish the Mission
-Zero Collateral Damage
And everything the bad guys do is actually our fault because we made them do it….same script as Gaza…the bad guys have no agency and it’s actually our fault
Day 32 of the Iran war:
-degraded missile factories, nuclear sites, IRGC bases, and proxy networks
-the Supreme Leader is gone…and his replacement is s vegetable
-all the top leadership is gone…in fact, we don’t even know who’s in charge
Yet the all you hear is endless doomerism
And all of this sounds exactly like the demoralization propaganda from Russia, China, and Iran, that has infiltrated our society for years via social media and retarded influencers chasing click
This isn’t responsible skepticism
It’s weakness…
And you’ll never get peace through strength when the opponent knows you lack resolve and they can just wait you out
This is madness

I’ll bite. Finish the job for the U.S. IMO, destroy Iran’s current ballistic missile stockpile, destroy their ballistic missile building capability (industrial complex), destroy their navy and other means that allow them to threaten the strait of Hormuz, i.e. destroy their ability to project power outside of Iran; destroy all parts of Iran’s nuclear program and obtain their 1,000 pounds of 60% enriched uranium, deny Iran from ever getting a nuclear bomb. The new leadership in Iran discontinues its current and long standing behaviors to develop a nuclear bomb, ballistic missile shield and increasing range program, and use of the strait of Hormuz as a tool of regional and global economic coercion. Many military, political, and economic means and ways (not just military) can be used to achieve these ends.
Richard N. Haass@RichardHaass
it is getting increasingly tiresome to read and hear calls to "finish the job" in Iran absent any serious discussion of what the job is and how it is to be accomplished with military force.
