Inaccurate map that disregards the linguistic diversity of Pre-Islamic Arabia.
The map I’ve included below includes different alphabets which were used in Pre-Islamic Arabia. Some of these alphabets record languages that are certainly Arabic and other alphabets record languages which are certainly not Arabic. For example, Taymanitic records an ancient Arabian language that appears much closer to Hebrew & Aramaic than Arabic. Safaitic & Hismaic record dialects of Old Arabic which are very similar to Quranic & ‘Classical’ Arabic.
My overall point is that Pre-Islamic Arabia wasn’t a sea of Arabic, it had a complex & diverse linguistic landscape which we shouldn’t ignore.
