Stephen Miller’s America First Legal claimed only Maricopa County’s election-denying county recorder Justin Heap can make decisions about early voting locations. But even Republicans say Heap is impacting the ability of the county’s Board of Supervisors to run “smooth, fair, and safe elections.” bit.ly/4nKutSc

🚨NEW — The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors is attempting an ILLEGAL POWER GRAB over early voting. They advanced a resolution this week to SET UP early voting drop boxes. But Arizona law gives that power ONLY to the County Recorder. They’ve been warned.

I'm calling on Recorder Heap to meet with the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors to hammer out the differences we have on the administration of elections. We want smooth, fair, and safe elections - let's make it happen!

Re the breaking MSN story (msn.com/en-us/news/pol…) A reminder that: 1) 97% of U.S. voters use paper ballots that are unhackable and can be hand-count audited if there are allegations of tabulation error or fraud. 2) The person behind this effort -- Kurt Olsen -- tried this previously in Arizona in 2022 and was sanctioned by the federal district court ("[The Court] finds that Plaintiffs made false, misleading, and unsupported factual assertions.") 3) Mr. Olsen was also sanctioned by the Arizona Supreme Court for lying about about elections in Arizona ("Because Lake's attorney has made false factual statements to the Court, we conclude that the extraordinary remedy of a sanction under ARCAP 25 is appropriate").

Recorder Heap's attempt to criminalize Election volunteers is outrageous. Thank you, @AZAGMayes , for defending our hardworking men and women who work at the polls on Election Day. @maricopacounty

Justin Heap is wrong about drop boxes. He should immediately work with the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors in good faith to ensure a well run election. Full letter:
