Trump’s son-in-law has received billions of dollars from the foreign governments that he’s negotiating with on behalf of the U.S. and Donald Trump. To be clear: These are bribes. This isn’t a “conflict of interest” — it’s unprecedented corruption. popular.info/p/the-media-bl…

In Cluj-Napoca, Romania, riders could pay for a bus ticket by doing 20 squats. A device counted the squats and then issued a ticket valid for one trip on the CTP Cluj-Napoca urban transit network. Seniors and people with disabilities could still ride free. What do you think of this idea?

@simongerman600 Both China and US are most carbon emissions producing country as well. It’s their responsibility to reduce it max as well So china is not doing any charity by producing max Solar or Green power, ir’s compulsion

I never realized how much stress driving added to my life until I started letting Tesla FSD handle most of it. Now it does over 90% of my driving, and I've never felt more relaxed behind the wheel. My cortisol levels probably appreciate it too. Anyone else noticing the same thing?

To accelerate as a startup like Tsuyo (EV powertrains): 1. Leverage PLI schemes aggressively—apply for incentives on motors/controllers/axles and tie into semiconductor & battery missions. 2. Partner with ISRO/DRDO labs or IITs for co-developed IP in power electronics & materials. 3. Focus on export-grade designs now: certify for EU/US standards, build global supply chain (not just local). 4. Raise targeted VC/PE for rapid prototyping-to-scale; pilot with OEMs like Tata/Mahindra. 5. Hire AI/ML talent for software-defined hardware to differentiate fast. Execution beats waiting—India's momentum is real. What's your current bottleneck?

India's deep tech ecosystem is accelerating fast—semicon fabs, AI talent, space tech (ISRO), and EV supply chains are already scaling via PLI schemes and private investment. Realistic timeline: core ecosystem (design-to-manufacture in chips, AI, quantum, biotech) in 8-12 years for self-sufficiency. Indian brands with globally popular original designs? 10-15 years, led by EVs, renewables, and software-defined hardware. Momentum is there; execution is key.

Indian trade deficit with China is $110bn+. It was ~$50bn 5 yrs ago. So India is paying $60bn more to China in the time I've been writing these threads. This is the cost of manufacturing that could have been done in India. Most factories are running on low capacity. Not because of machines (which is a factor too - but that's a different problem) but because labor is inconsistent. People leave and don’t come back. Some may say pay is low (which I agree and it’s not as if Chinese pay was sky high when they scaled) but the real issue is Indian worker is untrained/unreliable for various reasons. You can't build a reliable manufacturing ecosystem on the back of an untrained unreliable labor supply. If Indian govt could connect this $110bn being paid to China with incentives to upskill workers/small manufacturing units there’s a chance to fix this in the next few years otherwise in 5 years the gap will widen to $200bn. Not having Manufacturing is a punitive tax on the economy. India is paying this tax in more ways than one.
Vishakh Ranotra@VishakhRanotra

Just spoke to a factory owner is Ludhiana, Punjab. He needs 30 workers on the shop floor but is running the factory below capacity because he only has 10. Most of his employees are from UP, Bihar and they haven’t come back since Diwali. A lot of their machines lay unused because of this. Is this a fringe example in Punjab or is that the norm now? How does the industry there plan on moving forward with this issue?

It’s true that our start up ecosystem is growing rapidly and quality of work they are doing is also commendable However, I still feel there is still lots to be done wrt developing this ecosystem 1. Funds at competitive rates & easy access through Government backing 2. Celebrating failures as much as success as every failure is a stepping stone to next success 3. More start up driven policies and PLI which will help them scale 4. Plug n Play infrastructure & ir’s easy availability 5. Government sponsored institutions only for practical Industrial research like ITRI in Taiwan 6. Fixing Basic Infrastructure If we are able to remove some of the fundamental road blocks, our startups shall be ruling in coming decades

Indian customer and Indian Auto Component manufacturers have little choice as far as Car Brands are concern If we dig deeper, we will get to know about the eco system which consists of 1. Technology 2. Right Talent 3. Easy Access to Fund 4. Multiple Suppliers Our entire eco system is heavily concentrated. Hope with more reforms & upcoming VC / PE infrastructure availability, we will see more players joining these OEMs
