NYK/CLE Game 2 Breakdown 🏀 Down 22 with 7:54 left, the Knicks made one of the greatest comebacks in NBA playoff history. All it took was a Brunson masterclass, a singular lineup adjustment, and most importantly, Cleveland's fatigue to kick in. Heading into G2, the Cavaliers are gonna want to steal this one. What should we expect and how can we make money on it? ❤️ if you want a lotto using this! 1) The Josh Hart offensive dilemma. As expected in Game 1, Hart was guarded by Jarrett Allen and the Cavaliers forced him to shoot 3s, something neither the Hawks or 76ers consistently did. It worked perfectly with the Knicks scoring just 0.625 points per chance on 29 drives with Hart on the court compared to 1.259 with him off. With Josh Hart on, the spacing gets worse, KAT gets neutralized, and the Knicks offense sputters. With that being said, I don't expect him to get benched in this spot (if Mikal didn't vs ATL, no chance Hart does this early on), but rather for his leash to be much shorter and that presents great opportunity for us. I personally played u12.5 RA as I do believe his minutes will get cut in favor of Shamet/McBride and it's worth noting that his offensive rebounding impact gets mitigated when he's defended by centers. Mike Brown and himself have emphasized Hart's unselfishness and how he's a player willing to do what's best for a team plus I just don't think him on is really going to help the Knicks. However with that being said, I also played o1.5 3PM in a lotto and I feel as if 3s for Hart on low unit risk is a great way to attack for the simple fact that we know he's going to get shots up from beyond the arc. Mike Brown on Hart: "If Josh is open in the street, he's got to let it fly. He's made shots." Hart on the Cavs: "They're probably going to do the same thing and I'm gonna shoot the exact same shots." Whether or not he loses minutes, by the time he's out, volume will be there and that's generates value. Really no leans on Shamet/McBride as I feel both can fill his role, but they're also interesting. 2) Jalen Brunson vs James Harden in the 4Q/OT. The Harden stats are ridiculous. In G1, the Knicks targeted James Harden with 27 picks which is the most of his career generating 1.53 points per pick that led directly to a shot, foul, or shot one pass away. Fatigue def played a factor, but once again, they will go at Harden tonight. Kenny Atkinson keeps stressing to the media that Harden's a fine isolation defender and that their defense in the 4Q wasn't actually that bad as the Knicks were "in the first percentile of shot quality." And as much as I think he's not a good coach the film backs him up a bit. Brunson made difficult shots and the Knicks really just fed on both TOs and the home crowd to chip into the lead. With that being said though, I do think Brunson sees more help tonight. James Harden said they "gotta do a better job as a team because it's not a one-man job" and we saw shades as the game went on. Brunson should still get his, but there will be a good chance for him to be a playmaker tonight. I lean his o6.5 assists and with Harden being targeted, it's impossible to not like OG Anunoby who's going to be more involved since he draws that Harden matchup. His 15+ points is another really solid play and I think his aggression off screens are going to be key if they opt to show Brunson two bodies to prevent him from getting downhill with Hart off. Also worth mentioning Mikal Bridges in a lesser note who will also be a beneficiary and has a better minutes floor. 3) NYK's 2H adjustment defensively that went unnoticed. In the 1H, KAT took the primary matchup of Jarrett Allen while OG Anunoby got Evan Mobley. However, in the 2H, Mike Brown swapped them and KAT took on Mobley instead, leading to a complete shift in stats. First off, KAT snagged 10 2H rebounds, 6 of which were defensive. He would constantly sag off Mobley and had to worry less about boxing out, allowing him to crash the boards. Played his o10.5 rebounds officially tonight as a result, a line that's just too low. His drop coverage and constant showing of help on DMitch/Harden also led to Mobley having 6 2H+OT 3PA as he would constantly be open from the Knicks helping on guard drives. Played his 2+ 3PM in a lotto and with the Knicks also blitzing screens when Brunson was involved in the action, he became active in the short roll, easily finding open mid-range jumpers, teammates on passes, and overall an uptick in usage which is why I played o27.5 PRA straight. That doesn't even mention his 15 rebounds that came as a result of guarding KAT and crashing hard with great positioning. 4) Donovan Mitchell (and James Harden) need to pass. While many blamed the loss last game on Harden's defense, what needs to also be emphasized is CLE's offensive disasterclass late in the game that allowed the Knicks to get back in it in the first place. As I aforementioned, the Knicks would send two to the ball when mismatches were in plat and essentially pressure Cleveland's guards into giving the ball up. Even if they didn't target mismatches, NYK would ensure that the guards weren't able to get to the rim and rather force them to kick it out into 3s. This is evident in the fact that Cleveland took 50 3s on Tuesday which contributed to 55% of their shot diet, a ridiculous number. Donovan Mitchell specifically struggled later on in the game as he would force shots, waste time, and really just not find open guys as his playmaking struggled yet again, a common theme in this playoffs. It's no coincidence that their best overall game (G7 vs DET), he had 8 assists. Tonight, he needs to make the right play once again, and while I won't recommend his o3.5 assists or Harden's o5.5, I 100% think they're good plays and at least one should cover very nicely with the way NYK is trying to throw them differnet looks and make them uncomfortable. 5) CLE's wing roulette and where the value lies. Sam Merrill was terrific last game....until he wasn't. And to be fair, that's probably more so on Kenny Atkinson than it is on him. Despite Dean Wade playing fantastic, Sam Merrill was launched into the main unit during crucial defensive situations including the entire OT where NYK just dismantled their defense. By placing him as the primary wing alongside Harden/DMitch, CLE's lack of size in their backcourt was exposed and NYK took full advantage. This time around, I do expect the minutes to shift back in favor of defense and it's honestly time for Max Strus to step up as his offense is extremely necessary considering the versatility he can give on that end that Wade can't. There's also worlds where we see CLE go to single big in huge moments with Mobley and for two wings to be on the court. Liked Merrill u9.5 points, but that has moved. The pivot I think is to attack Strus' overs or even Dean Wade who will find open shots with me favoring the prior. The only issue is how streaky these guards have been, but it seems like a good spot to move from Merrill after two pretty big games from him. Summary: - Josh Hart minutes should downtick in favor of Shamet/McBride, but his 3P volume will still be there. - Jalen Brunson could see more pressure tonight, OG Anunoby is a big beneficiary - NYK has switched their defense which favors KAT reb and Mobley offensively - Donovan Mitchell and James Harden have to step up as playmakers - The Cavaliers' wings have value. In respect to the game, I don't think Kenny Atkinson is a good coach. And after watching the Knicks come back in G1 and learning what can really do to mitigate some of their struggles, gotta think they win this one at MSG. CLE went down 2-0 to the Pistons in 2 winnable games, and I think they go to Rocket Arena once again in the same position.

Claressa Shields & Franchon Crews-Dezurn didn’t just fight… they went to WAR. But the real knockout moment came AFTER the bell. Claressa looked Franchon dead in her eyes and said, “If I ever hurt you, I’m sorry. I respect you.” Franchon hit her back with, “I love you. You’ll always be my sister. I’ve been rooting for you since you were 15.” That’s not beef. That’s BOND. Two friends threw hands like enemies, gave the fans a SHOW, then hugged like family. Claressa didn’t have to give her that shot — but she did. That’s loyalty AND risk. That’s GWOAT energy. And let’s be clear… FRANCHON AIN’T NO BUM. She beat SHADASIA GREEN. This was heart, history, and heavy punches all in one. Salute to both queens for a fight AND a moment the sport needed.
