Find yourself in a pinch? Rudiger can do a spear reversal to protect himself from some attacks--even those coming from above.

Another mechanic in Saint Slayer that you may find helpful. Holding the attack button after stabbing and pushing backwards at the right time will trigger a quick reversal that can be used to protect you briefly from incoming projectiles or enemies behind you. You will need to have the spear for this move.
