Key Sunnah Acts on the Day of Eid al-Fitr:Recite Takbir (التكبير)
Say the Takbir loudly and frequently from sunset on the last day of Ramadan (or from Fajr prayer) until the Imam comes out for Eid prayer. The common wording is:
الله أكبر الله أكبر، لا إله إلا الله، والله أكبر الله أكبر ولله الحمد
(Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, La ilaha illallah, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar wa lillahil hamd).
This is for men, women, young, and old — it's one of the most emphasized Sunnahs.
Perform Ghusl (الاغتسال)
Take a full ritual bath (ghusl) in the morning before heading to the prayer. This is a strongly recommended act of purification and celebration.
Wear your best clothes and apply perfume (التجمل والطيب)
Dress in your finest, clean, and modest clothes (new if possible). Apply perfume (itr/attar) and use miswak (siwak) for oral hygiene. This shows gratitude to Allah for the blessing of completing Ramadan.

19-year-old champion wrestler Saleh Mohammadi executed by Iran in a public hanging. Mohammadi, Mehdi Ghasemi, and Saeed Davoudi were executed as part of Iran's brutal crackdown on protests. According to human rights groups, Mohammadi was tortured to confess "to the capital crime of waging war against God." "His execution was a blatant political murder, part of the Islamic Republic’s pattern of targeting athletes to crush dissent and terrorize society," said human rights activist Nima Far. The protesters were accused by the regime of killing two police officers with knives and swords.
