Lancaster & Morecambe is geographically closer to Kendal & the South Lakes than Preston and Central Lancashire. There is the entire Forest of Bowland and 30 miles of motorway between the two areas. Its a decision based on names on maps rather than geography or population dynamics

Lancaster and Wyre rates are well below the rest of Lancashire. After the lockdown when the new tiers are announced, our much lower rates of infection should be taken into account and we shouldn’t face tighter restrictions because the rest of the county is higher.

Lancaster is the only district in Lancashire which is substantially below the English average infection rates. I will be making the case in Parliament that this is taken into consideration when the English lockdown ends on December 2nd. lancasterguardian.co.uk/news/uk-news/l…
