@nabeelqu @Ori_Friedman @xphilosopher @jfkominsky @angelanyh This is what we proposed as well for children’s failures on these ambiguous scenarios. They may misinterpret the intent of the question or construe the scenario differently than what the experimenter intended if the causal relations are not clearly specified.

The LLM critiques I've seen from linguists are weak, and easily disproven by spending 5 minutes playing around with these tools. Disappointing!
