Parents are protesting in Glasgow tonight over proposals which could see 450 teaching posts cut over the next three years. @LMcGeezy of @GCParentsGroup tells us the message to officials is “stop passing the buck”.

As MSPs debated Glasgow's education cuts at Holyrood this afternoon, a protest against them took place in the city council leader's ward. @GCParentsGroup were behind the action at Langside Halls, demanding the local authority rethink plans to axe 450 teacher jobs in the city.

Today we were outside @LangsidePri making parents and carers aware of the impact @GlasgowCC cuts will have on the education of their children. Sign the petition and join the protests: today in Govan and next Wednesday outside Langside Halls 4.30pm @EISUnion #teachersnotcuts

Calling all Bakers…no school fair is complete without some cakes! Donations can be brought in Sat morning (no nuts please!) and mark up if suitable for dietary requirements (vegan/ diary free etc). No need to be Star baker quality, just tasty!!
