I essentially consider the following 8 as a waste of a roster spot at the WC and totally or almost totally untrustworthy:
Arfsten, Ream, Trusty, M. Robinson, Berhalter, Roldan, Zendejas, Aaronson.
I trust 15 field players. Almost no margin for error.
Bad coaches tend to negate any potential depth a team has by making all the wrong selections at the margins. I’m not saying any of these decisions are egregious (unless Tessmann isn’t injured), but yeah I don’t know if there’s one good “on the margins” decision in there.

I find our holding mid depth has been negated. Johnny and Tessmann are legit losses, and Morris, Musah (even McGlynn, who is more of an 8) are players who really should’ve been picked. I don’t think it’s a huge concern compared to CB or GK, but if Roldan or Berhalter fuck up at some point this will be a huge mistake by Pochettino and he will deserve a ton of blame. Turning your deepest position into one where you’ve got two guys who you can rely on to play is very damning.
