@LankSportsBlog @ryanhammer09 Then challenge the call and get it overturned
English

@brandonmoix @ryanhammer09 The other team can’t grab the ball if the ref calls a foul after he falls for no reason 😭
English

Real question: who is okay with this?
Like are OKC fans happily defending this?
NBACentel@TheNBACentel
FOUL CALL ON DE’AARON FOX 😭
English

@ryanhammer09 If he falls for no reason the other team should grab the ball and start a 5 on 4 break. It’s not his decision whether the whistle blows idc how he falls down
English

@brandonmoix He does this on majority of his shot attempts expecting to get calls at this point. He is trying to force the refs hands by falling for no reason
English

@ThunderChats If JDub is out Mark is gonna play him. We just don’t how much and how productive he’s gonna be. I wouldn’t touch any of those bets with a 10 foot pole tho
English

@IanEldridge89 @StoolGreenie If he does me and the Thunder fans (at least the ones I pay attention to) will give him the criticism he deserves. I just don’t feel he’s had a run worth much criticism thus far
English

@brandonmoix @StoolGreenie I hope for your sake that Shai’s best 3 game playmaking stretch continues in the playoffs (also because that would be very fun and make him effectively unstoppable). I’m one of the nice guys on Celtics twitter. Your @‘s are about to be flooded w ratty comments if he has 2 ASTs
English

@IanEldridge89 @StoolGreenie Yeah he outplayed Luka in that series. Still wasn’t as good as Shai has been.
If you wanna do coverages on a collapsing defense on a paint touch here’s a good one for you

English

@brandonmoix @StoolGreenie Ah. So the defenders camped down there and Tatum didn’t take the 3. Got it makes a lot of sense.
Anyways.
Hey remember when Tatum was a better playmaker head to head against a guy that is seen as a top 2 playmaker in the league?

English

@IanEldridge89 @StoolGreenie One is a guy with 2 feet in the paint the other is at 30 feet.
Every single number suggests that Shai had a bigger playing impact. U have provided zero evidence that suggests otherwise
English

@brandonmoix @StoolGreenie Every drive Tatum made in the 24 playoffs was defended like this. He would then swing to an open shooter. That shooter can either shoot or pass again. The shot would still be created by Tatum nonetheless.
Also your reference points and math aren’t consistent at all lol

English

@IanEldridge89 @dom_scurlock @StoolGreenie If you prefer potential assists to asissts it’s 15.5 to 10.1 in Shai’s favor
English

@brandonmoix @dom_scurlock @StoolGreenie Interesting. So you’re saying that playmaking at high levels doesn’t always mean your teammates make the shots. That really is fascinating.
English

OK, now explain to me how that's any different than Tatum's 2024 when he was putting up 30/10/6 in the ECF by carrying the offense with the gravity and playmaking? Or the Finals when he did the same with his 22/7/7?
You're kind of proving my exact point lol
Tatum had an 11 AST and 12 AST game in the Finals, and all that mattered was his 38/26% efficiency, but now SGA's 39/28% is excusable because he passes?

Brandon Moix@brandonmoix
@StoolGreenie Shai is averaging 11 assists and leading the playoffs in hockey assists. It’s more than excusable for his efficiency to dip when he’s carrying the offense with his gravity and playmaking
English

@IanEldridge89 @StoolGreenie I found the numbers for the playoffs but not the finals specifically but Tatum averaged less than half as many hockey assists. So it’s half as many assists and half as many hockey assists more turnovers and less points. So idk what to tell you. He was just flat out worse

English

@brandonmoix @StoolGreenie OP talking about Shai vs the entire 2024 run when Tatum’s efficiency was the only talking point while he was a PG on one end and a C on the other.
Also, Tatum ABSOLUTELY created this volume of open shots. His numbers just don’t reflect hockeys/swing swings
English

@IanEldridge89 @dom_scurlock @StoolGreenie Shai averaged 32 7 8 with 2 TOs on 50/55 splits in that series. His teammates sold him out
English

@dom_scurlock @brandonmoix @StoolGreenie I wonder who may have faced Luka earlier in that playoffs 🤔
English

@dom_scurlock @StoolGreenie Every play here is reflected in the box score which Shai’s is objectively better. Y’all keep saying Tatum gets all of these hockey assists with no evidence when Shai leads the stat rn
English

@IanEldridge89 @StoolGreenie x.com/brandonmoix/st…
Y’all keep just saying that Tatum had that impact but you’re not actually backing it up with any evidence
Brandon Moix@brandonmoix
@dom_scurlock @StoolGreenie No one is talking about 2025. Shai has been incredible in every game that’s been in the balance other than game 1 against SA this playoffs. 11 assists first in hockey assists and first in gravity. You haven’t given any numbers or tape that suggests Tatum that impact consistently
English

English

@brandonmoix @StoolGreenie Tatum avg 7.2 assists in those Finals… RefGA avg 5.6 in 2025…
If that is “far less playmaking” impact for Tatum, then I wonder what it means on the other side of this? Lol.
English

@dom_scurlock @StoolGreenie Those are Shai’s averages. Are we not counting the game where he 15 and 3 in a loss where they scored 84 points? What about the 16 5?
English

@brandonmoix @StoolGreenie “far less playmaking impact” is wild when we watched him have games in the Finals with 11 asts/2 TOs and 12 asts/3 TOs lol
English

@IanEldridge89 @StoolGreenie Are we not talking about this series versus tatums finals? Idrc about Shai’s numbers in a lakers blowout. The historically great shooting is a result of WIDE open 3s created by Shai’s historic gravity. Tatum (and almost no one ever) saw coverages like this
English

@brandonmoix @StoolGreenie To be very clear, Shai is averaging 11 APG through 3 games of THIS series. And all it’s taken to get there is historically great shooting from the entirety of his team.
Tatum was also getting blitzed and also carrying the offense with gravity and also playmaking the whole run
English

@StoolGreenie I’ll agree that Tatum gets too much flack for his performance in the finals. But Shai’s not getting the same level from his own fan base simply because he’s been better
English

@StoolGreenie Tatum was under 40% in the finals and averaged more turnovers with far less playmaking impact. Shai was terrible in game 1 and deservedly got criticized by OKC fans and others. Outside of that he’s been pretty solidly the best player on the floor.
English

@brandonmoix @StoolGreenie OP was talking about how Tatum quite literally did the exact same thing, only to be ridiculed as being inefficient. That’s all! Apples to apples somehow becomes apples to dragonfruit
English

@nation_sy @StoolGreenie I don’t have the data on his gravity or hockey assists but he averaged about half as many assists and I definitely don’t remember his playmaking being anything extraordinary
English

@brandonmoix @StoolGreenie Tatum was doing that shit whole 2024 playoff run lmao and still got disrespected
English
