These findings were made possible by a carefully designed scheme that reflects the underlying B. pertussis phylogeny as closely as possible. The database at mgtdb.unsw.edu.au/pertussis/ is publicly available and automatically processes new illumina WGS submissions to NCBI. 6/6

The highest resolution level (MGT5) of the MGT was able to describe very fine scale epidemiology. STs at this level describe B. pertussis isolates that are isolated at almost the same time and place. 5/6
