A 29 year old married daughter of a widower is in my DM.
Her father is 65.
Her mother is late.
They are 6 children (4 from her late mother and 2 from her father's late mistress).
The 29 year old is the first child of the family.
Her complaints:
Her father wants to remarry. She and her siblings, including the stepsiblings (who are twins), support their father's decision to remarry.
But their issue is that the woman he wants to marry is a widow with 2 children from her late husband, and of the same age as their eldest sister (the 29-year-old).
The widow's late husband's family rejected her, and her 2 children are staying with her married elder sister.
A little back story:
When their mother was still alive, she accepted the twins that their father had with his late mistress.
They were just 2 years old at the time.
The twin are considered the last born.
However, their late mother refused to keep two more pregnancies for their father because she knew it would be economically frustrating for him, and they might take a toll on the other six living children..
Their father wasn't aware of the two unsuccessful pregnancies until some years later, which caused a big issue but was resolved before she passed away.
Her concerns:
Knowing her gender very well and what she is capable of doing, she is worried that her father is about to make a grave mistake and cause friction in their family.
She doesn't want any more step-siblings, and her brothers are also in support.
Because of this, even the twins have been avoiding calling their father. They're still young and still at university.
The arrival of this new wife could significantly threaten their education and strain the relationship they have managed to build and maintain with their step-siblings.
Their father says he doesn't see anything wrong with having a much younger wife, or even having more children with her. He says that his friends, who were widowers, married much younger women too.
And he's even threatening to kill himself if the children do not allow him to marry the woman of his choice. The children are also threatening to distance themselves from him if he goes ahead.
They wish for him to remarry, but the woman should be much older and most preferably, a woman who has passed the age of giving birth or doesn't have any children.
Do you support the children and think that their concerns are valid?
Are you also in support of their father's choice?
End.
English

@oto_attah @DedayoRoots @jon_d_doe Lol... See as woman dey reason, you guys never cease to amaze me.
Why then did she marry a 65 years old man, besides she has two kids of her own already.
I think the man shouldn't get married to her because I'm sure she reasons the same way as you, he should marry someone older.
English

@DedayoRoots @jon_d_doe You advised he does vasectomy....I hope he tells his new wife she won't be having kids of her own😄😄...I don't think she would want to be a nanny for an old man all her life.

Lol, I totally disagree.
29-30 people in the whole of Nigeria? 😅 That’s a very outdated view of today’s economy.
You’re thinking strictly in terms of traditional salary employment. But the world has moved beyond that. The digital economy has changed the earning landscape completely.
There are thousands of Nigerian freelancers earning in foreign currency every month; writers, developers, product designers, video editors, marketers, automation specialists, consultants, etc, and even niche strategists.
On platforms like Upwork, Fiverr, Toptal, etc, and even through direct client acquisition on LinkedIn, referrals, direct contacting, earning £3,000/month is not some mythical numbers.
Let’s break it down logically:
If your service is priced at £1,000 per project, you only need 3 solid clients in a month.
If you charge £500 per gig, that’s 6 projects.
If you work on retainer at £750/month per client, you need just 4 consistent clients.
This is not fantasy. It’s positioning + skill + market awareness.
In fact, there are people earning more than that MONTHLY!!!
Gigs that worth £3000 or more for just a project... yeah...
Example:
•SaaS Product UI/UX Design (research, wireframes, high-fidelity design system)...One serious SaaS product = £2k+, depending on scope.
•High-Level Copywriting Projects
Top copywriters charge £1.8k+ per launch because revenue impact is measurable.
•Mobile App Development (MVP Build)... Even a simple MVP app build easily crosses £3k.
Most real builds are £5k+.
The key difference is this:
Many Nigerians are still looking for jobs.
Others are building skills that serve global markets.
And once you serve global markets, you earn global rates.
Is it common? No.
Is it possible? Absolutely.
Is it happening already? Every single day.
The real limitation is not geography.
It’s exposure, skill depth, and value creation.
Let’s not shrink Nigeria to a 9–5 salary conversation when the internet has removed borders completely.
End. 💯
✌️💯💙

English

@FRUITFULVINE2 @aanuhelps @jon_d_doe Many men are egoistic and it totally stinks.
Are emotions not part of what makes us humans??
You all ridicule women daily for something that's natural. Emotions are vital.
You sound so unintelligible. Small thing una go mention logic.
