New: Pete Hegseth’s pastor and close spiritual advisor says he wants Texas Democratic state Rep. James Talarico to die.
“We want him crucified with Christ,” Brooks Potteiger said of Talarico, as the podcast host said he prays “that God kills him.” huffpost.com/entry/pete-heg…

@LantzPam @BrooksPotteiger @jbendery Leftist loons intentionally misunderstand everything that goes against their secular beliefs. Only these people don't bother to understand. It's very trollish

@LantzPam @sniffingbooks5 @BrooksPotteiger @jbendery It is blatantly clear that you are not subjective or a believer.

@adamscochran @DonAlt Oh boy the homeschooling parents came out of the woodwork. Public schools aren't perfect but they are wonderful little microcosms of the REAL WORLD. Students learn so much in a classroom full of all types of kids that homeschooling cannot replicate.

Honestly it’s infuriating and I think a type of mild child abuse.
Like I’ve taught as a professor, I’ve designed learning curriculum, I’ve got multiple degrees, I learn the most random shit in the world because learning is my special interest.
And I wouldn’t homeschool my kids.
I could maybe pull it off with full time focus and supplementing tutors, but that’s an extreme outlier.
Even then I’d worry they’d end up socially stunted, unable to adapt to learning from sources that aren’t catered to them, and lacking subject depth.
I’ve never met a homeschool parent who comes close to having the educational depth, or the background in education to *actually* homeschool their kids.
It is always either ego, arrogance or stupidity and it ends up depriving the kids of their potential.
If they don’t think they’re getting enough education in public school then supplement it.
But homeschooling should frankly be banned. We require educators and educational institutions to meet standards for a reason.
Because we owe it to kids to let them have a fighting chance and not just be stuck with our dumbass short comings as well.
So do you workbooks with them as supplemental stuff after school, and go get a job, let your kid experience the world instead of some weird cut off commune cult life where they have to take their cat to “prom” in your living room!

@sniffingbooks5 @BrooksPotteiger @jbendery Mainstream Christians do
not make those kinds of statements. It is not deception that informs my viewpoints. I research an issue by looking at both/multiple sides before I post.
English

@LantzPam @BrooksPotteiger @jbendery People in Christ, who were the targeted audience, understood perfectly what he meant. And it’s not what you just said, and what you are led to believe, because deception is the motive.

@LantzPam @BrooksPotteiger @jbendery That simply tells me that you are biblically illiterate or ignorant. Which is no fault of the man speaking.
English

@dawson_romines @BrooksPotteiger @jbendery Praying that "God kills him" (Talarico) is not a statement that mainstream Christians would say. Nor is the statement "I want him to be crucified with Christ". Those statements align with fundamentalists' values. It's not a matter of scholarship.
English

@LantzPam @BrooksPotteiger @jbendery It does not take a Bible scholar to figure out what “I want them to be crucified with Christ” means.
