This International Workers' Day, I thank America’s workers for keeping our country running. As someone who got their start at a union job, I know the power of unions and collective bargaining. They keep our communities strong. That’s why I support legislation to protect bargaining rights, raise the minimum wage, and secure paid family leave. Stay loud.

Mike Johnson let TSA, FEMA, and Coast Guard workers go without pay for months—all to squeeze more money out of Congress for ICE. Today, he finally folded. The delay in funding for these workers is just shameful. The American people deserve a Speaker who knows how to lead.

While you were sleeping, Congressional Republicans passed a $70 billion blank check for ICE & CBP. Continuing to fund agencies that are terrorizing neighborhoods and killing American citizens, instead of working to reform them tells you everything about their priorities.

We’ve officially reached more than 60 days of the Iran war. That is over 60 days where billions in federal dollars went to conflict abroad instead of lowering costs for families here at home. You deserve better. That’s why I introduced a War Powers Resolution to end this war. Stay loud.

In the Callais decision, the Roberts Court just completed its effective demolition of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. The new MAGA double standard is that the deliberate destruction of a majority-African American or Hispanic district is perfectly permissible as a “partisan gerrymander,” but the deliberate creation of a majority-African American or Hispanic district is an impermissible “racial gerrymander.” The pro-MAGA majority has capsized the will of Congress and gutted the Voting Rights Act.

Today's Supreme Court's ruling on the Voting Rights Act is yet another Republican attempt to hold onto power, suppress voters and erode America's democracy. This fight isn't over. Democrats will not let Republicans turn back the clock and undo our country's progress.

The Supreme Court just gutted the Voting Rights Act, the latest attack by a conservative court hell-bent on taking away the promise of equality for all. I agree with the dissenting judges—this ruling undermines the very foundation of racial equality in this country.  We can't go back. We will fight back.

Today, the Supreme Court is hearing arguments on Trump’s case against TPS, a program that provides protection to 1.3 million of our neighbors. Ending TPS is a cruelty that sends our neighbors back to danger and robs our economy of more than $30B in contributions from TPS holders. We must protect our neighbors and our communities and pass the Dream and Promise Act to secure a pathway to citizenship for TPS holders.

The American people don't want the same signature that's on a birthday card to Epstein on their passports.
