I cannot say loudly enough that the NHS is not okay. There are not enough nurses and the nurses, on average, are much less experienced. People say “yeah yeah the NHS is always understaffed” but this is much worse. The patients bear the brunt. I can’t say more than this.

Many people are battling with #anxiety and depression, and neurodiversity like #ADHD is no walk in the park. But when mild or manageable conditions get treated like lifelong, work-ending disabilities, this helps no one - not least the individuals who are getting trapped on benefits rather than work [And yes I know PIP is an 'in-work' benefit but many people worry if they work they will lose it]. @Taj_Ali1 Nurses have been the biggest supporters of our strike. They are in the trenches with the resident doctors, and we would never pull each other down. I think if the BMA wins this fight, that can only be a good thing for all of us serving the Public in health, education etc

Underpaid nurses aren’t an argument for underpaid doctors. All workers should be paid a decent wage.

@UnoBana @Taj_Ali1 I'm talking about public perception. That thing you need on your side to win these things. The doctors are in a weak position with the public after getting a rise very recently.

@Athelscran @Taj_Ali1 I'm a nurse. I fully support nurse pay rises, I fully support rises for the doctors. Doctors are striking at the moment, we aren't.

@Taj_Ali1 But doesn't it make sense that the (highest paid) class of people that just had a pay rise need to wait until the Nurses have been paid. The NHS budget isn't infinite

@Shrink_at_Large The hostile environment created around welfare makes it feel like someone is always watching. The public are primed to blame people on benefits for their own discontent and people on benefits are primed to live lives of shame, guilt and worthlessness.

In February I went and stood on a multi story car park and the only reason I didn’t jump is that I wasn’t sure if it was high enough. Caused by PIP and the sheer stress of the process and the assessors lying and all but calling me a liar for struggles I’ve had my whole life.
