I was wrong about Sam Darnold. In my defense, so were the Vikings. It feels telling that Darnold is going to the Super Bowl in Year 1 with McDonald/Seahawks when he didn’t come close to getting out of R1 with KOC/Vikings last year. Vikings’ issues extend beyond the QB position

@JasonHarmonNFL Will it? The organization lets a glorified HR manager in Anne Doepner have critical say in coaching and player decisions, their GM relies heavily upon PFF, and the owners care more about social brownie points than results as long as everybody is comfortable.

Here’s the good news about how badly things look for the Vikings: it will force positive changes. Not sure what they will do, but they have no choice but to adjust in significant ways.

I wanted to share two pictures in particular from Thursday's dual. Two moments that may not be otherwise noticed if I didn't have the opportunity to be by these guys day in and day out. Picture #1- Max Brady is running out. A true freshman stepping in to take the place of Land who is out for the year. To the left you see someone holding their phone filming him running out. That is Logan Paradice. He is one of 3 of Max's roommates who were all BEYOND pumped, excited, yelling, encouraging of their fellow teammate and roommate getting the opportunity they all came here for. Picture #2- Cameron Geuther getting the nod at HWT. What you may have missed unless you saw the video we posted earlier is behind him between the curtains- Wyatt Voelker. Wyatt just had shoulder surgery and his season is done, but that didn't stop him from being right there to cheer on his good friend and to remind him to have fun. I think I heard Wyatt more during that match than any of the coaches- and you know my husband is not quiet. I point these out because yes every team has stories like this, but I Love a room that isn't built on animosity, but built on trust, belief, and encouragement. A mentality of - "If not him- than me ( I'll step up). If not now- then when the call comes ( I'll be ready)." When we preach selflessness it Is not in the belief that you must let everyone go ahead of you or sacrifice your own training for others- it is in the belief that I can train my best and bring others along. I can be the guy and when I'm not the guy I can do all I can to get the other guy ready while I wait my turn. Yes this is an individual sport, but a team that struggles together, that goes to war together, that pours into one another when given the chance- thats a team that is going to go further and farther together. I love these kids.
