@WhenAmIGoodEnuf @LauraRbnsn I’m so sorry. I had mine at about the same stage and never saw anything - I would guess it’s quite hit and miss whether one sees anything.

Do people not realize that miscarriages usually don't happen in a hospital? That there's no coffins or cremation? A 13-week fetus is about two inches long. Almost every miscarriage I've ever heard of was over a toilet. There's not much else to do.
Michael O’Brien@DrOBrienMD

Disturbing: Investigators in SC are using DNA to attempt to find the parent of a 13-15 week gestation fetus found at a wastewater facility. It’s not unheard of for people to flush a miscarried fetus without knowing. Policing miscarriages is a slippery slope we should not touch.

@LauraRbnsn “Miss Carrie” I swear my AutoCorrect is like on leave like it’s on vacation. AutoCorrect is not only not in the room with us. It’s not even in the building. It’s not even in the country.

@drkeithsiau Just had that for a trigger finger release this morning. I remember nothing between when they had me lie down on the table and when I came to in recovery.

@nxthompson @ebruenig I highly recommend Roald Dahl’s account of the death of his daughter, Olivia, from measles. It is told very simply and it is heartbreaking.

@JoyceCarolOates @broadwaybabyto If you miscarry, you go to the hospital. Democrat women are really ignorant. Can’t get an ID or understand basic healthcare. All that higher education must be in general studies.

Seriously—what is a woman who has miscarried supposed to do “legally “ in a red state? If she is in the care of a doctor does he report her? Does an ER report her? The grief & physical distress of a miscarriage in itself is a punishment. But the state wants to punish her more? Does this include MAGA women? Why do they vote for this?
Kelly@broadwaybabyto

Women are being arrested for miscarrying in states with strict abortion bans. They don’t charge them with a miscarriage, they charge them with “abuse of a corpse” What are we supposed to do? Take the fetal remains to the police station? Pregnancy is not safe in these states.

@AriasChelMeli @xXxAdomodaxXx @TheMonologist Fulling is done once, after the cloth is woven, to tighten the weave and make a sturdier fabric. It’s part of what gives this fabric the qualities that make it useful - and is probably less time-consuming than the weaving.

@Louise_m_perry I understand why they do it and I understand why it’s necessary. I just wish it were anything but a pee test. I have a shy bladder and providing pee to order can be difficult. I don’t care how they test as long as it doesn’t depend on me peeing.

Taking a pregnancy test as a routine check before a medical procedure costs the patient nothing, and will sometimes save women and babies from terrible harm. If this online meme for labelling pregnancy tests “medical misogyny” discourages even one medic from following this routine, women and babies will be put at risk. Just pee on the stick!
Helen Pluckrose@HPluckrose

Yeah, it's frustrating that they think statistically & it feels a lot like they don't believe you know your own body which is insulting. It'll be because of the number of women who answered 'no' to possibility of pregnancy, but are pregnant & pregnancy endangered by procedure. 1/

@MrPitbull07 Get one of those cheap extendable back scratchers where the end is in the shape of a tiny hand. Can be used for scritching without being as threatening as your actual hand.

@fuqekgs It’s just hilarious to me because I hit menopause early and also haven’t had sex in years. But sure, take my cup of pee. I always feel sorry for them because I have a shy bladder, so if a pee test is possible I drink lots of coffee beforehand.

It's a common safety protocol to avoid complications (in the event someone is pregnant which happens more often than you think even when people claim they can't be) and potential medicolegal issues.

@0kCorker @Boenau Dude, if the contention is that something is always true, one counter example disproves it. Again, grok didn’t even say that every crosswalk in NYC works the way you think all crosswalks work.

Please turn in your driver's license.
Stove@StoveTacos

@LI_city_villain @Boenau Anytime a vehicle is allowed to make a left turn (green arrow or solid green), the pedestrian signal in that crossing direction will always show “Don’t Walk.” It’s built into the traffic signal logic to prevent this exact issue.

In the place you live right now… How would your life change if you were unable to drive a car for two weeks? Would you have to rely on others to drive you places? Could you get by on foot, bike, and transit?

@0kCorker @Boenau Grok didn’t even agree with you for all crosswalks in NYC, never mind one that, as I clearly stated, is in Worcester, Massachusetts. I don’t know what you’ve made up in your mind to argue with, but it isn’t me.

@0kCorker @Boenau Your question included “in areas like NYC for example”, which is a combination of vagueness and specificity that makes the question meaningless. My example was an intersection that I know well and have frequently walked. What is your point?
