@LarishSharma 3months of ur rent. It’s simple and mandatory by law
English

@LarishSharma Depends on the owner. I myself charge only two or three month deposit and give back whatever is left based on the pending rent or cleaning charges.
But typical old town local houses may be strict regarding paying back the deposit amount based on the damage.
English

@LarishSharma owner straight up refused to return the deposit (₹1.5l), and used to take rent in cash only. i thought it’s better for me to spend my energy fighting with them to just focus on myself and earn more.

@the_dream_saver What about 3.6L deposit for a rent of 65k/m?
English

@LarishSharma yup 3L deposit for a house with 105k rent. Not bad tbh.

@CuteAishwariya Honestly, the bill is fair enough. Don't think so it is too much at all.

One of my friends recently went out for dinner with her boyfriend at a well-known hotel. They were looking forward to enjoying a good meal and spending some quality time together.
When the food arrived, they felt that it was nothing extraordinary—just a simple meal that could easily be found at many roadside dhabas or local restaurants for a much lower price.
However, the real surprise came when the bill arrived. The total amount charged for the meal was ₹1,286.
My friend says she understands that hotels have expenses such as staff salaries, rent, interiors, air conditioning, and service costs. But she still felt that the price was quite high considering the quantity and type of food they received.
The experience has sparked a debate. Some people believe that customers are paying not only for the food but also for the ambiance, comfort, and overall dining experience. Others argue that charging ₹1,286 for such a simple meal is difficult to justify.
What do you think? Is ₹1,286 a fair price for this meal, or does it seem overpriced? 🤔🍽️
