Most Europeans have no idea how absolutely furious with Europe America is. This is not just another disagreement. Betrayal is not something you just let slide. What Trump is doing here is an amazing example of using social coding to his base. He knows that if he uses the 'f-bomb' that it will scramble elites' brains, because it's a primary signal that they don't control language any more. So they're fulminating away, and calling it 'crazy' and 'impeachable'. They cannot believe that their language control is being defied and re-set by the very top of the social hierarchy. Pretty wild. It's about the same level as when Cortes sacked the Aztec Empire, and their high priests watched the sun come up anyway, even though they had not had the chance to cut out some unlucky bastard's heart on the Pyramid of the Sun.
