@LarryJude @Fla_Mom What makes you think Republicans favor DST? I've seen no indication of that. I lived through the last permanent DST in 1974, and it was hated all around once people had to actually go through the winter with late sunrises. Surprise!

@MisyDP @CoVet_81 The alcohol in the gas absorbs water allowing it to run through the system and not puddle in the tank. It does reduce the amount of energy from the fuel. But the main reason it is there is the corn lobby and the political EPA.

Do you think gas stations use water downed gas? I remember when I was younger everyone said don’t buy from Arco. Well you can easily test the ethanol levels at your local gas station using a water separation test.

This is a step in the wrong direction, actually. According to the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, "current evidence best supports the adoption of year-round standard time, which aligns best with human circadian biology." Morning light > for health than evening light.
