Nīstim (my Niece) Jaina had a speaking role in a Indigenous-made film called “Bones of Crows.” It was even the opening film for @viffest. I am so proud of her. She was tired from her long day as an actor at an opening film at a major film fest, but we were able to take this pic.

Wow! I was heading to work shortly before midnight & I thought it was a foggy night but then I got a whiff of the smoke. R.I.P. Value Village on East Hastings in #Vancouver. Interestingly, there was a fire a few buildings over just over one year ago. cbc.ca/news/canada/br…

Christine’s murderer was found, tried & convicted of 2nd degree murder. For many others, who lost their Sister, Mother, Auntie, Grand and/or Friend too, they don’t know what happened. On this #RedDressDay I will remember all the other stolen Sisters who have sky been found yet.

Aug 19, 2016 was the last day my family would see my Cousin Christine Wood. She came down to Winnipeg for a medical visit from our reserve #BunibonibeeCreeNation. Her remains were found in a shallow grave in a farmer’s field. This #RedDressDay I will remember my Cousin Christine.
