I hate this! I’ve talked about it at length multiple times. Andria Jelavić showed so much potential this season that I would’ve liked to see him back, and even potentially in that starting four spot. He’s going to be a great college basketball player. And now we look up, Kentucky is going to have very minimal retention. I get it, this season was rough, we know the stakes of next season for Mark Pope, but retaining guys, especially previous starters, is important. Kentucky has SO MANY holes to fill in the transfer portal. #BBN #KentuckyBasketball

I’m not familiar with the history of every single men’s hoops team. What I do know is every single UK coach that 3+ years in Lexington won at least 69% of their games and at least got 1 Elite Eight finish. That’s from 1932-current. That’s the standard here.

Hearing that both Mark Pope and John Calipari have privately vented that UK’s fanbase has negatively affected recruiting since 2020. Other schools use the fanbase and the negativity against UK and it has cost multiple elite recruits.
