the $7B they now offer is HALF OF THE BRIDGE that was designed. the full design is 15 to 18 billion. and they don't even have funding for the $7B
Rusty Brighton@Brightnot8128
@LarsLarsonShow They have a budget of 7 billion. They need to make a 7 billion dollar bridge. Maybe it doesn't have 4 different decks for trains and cars. The budget is the budget. In China they pay everyone less and the bridge gets built for 7 billion. How can we compete when capitalism $2X?

So, while Portland Public Schools pleads poverty and cuts staff (and hurts students) the teachers' union demands MORE!?

"The district is assuming the COLA under that contract will be only 1%; however, the union included an 8% pay increase in its most recent proposal."

The region needs a new bridge on I-5 over the Columbia River.
Incompetent politicians claim they’ve been working toward that for 21 years without actually getting anything done.
Well, they did spend $500-million of your money, but no shovels in the dirt yet.
Now, we find out that the tolling plan to pay for a new bridge will push about 50-thousand daily commuters OFF the bridge to make way for elites?
Doesn't sound very democratic to me, but it's the product of the Democrat Party elected officials calling the shots.
And if you think you’re out of harm's way commuting on I-205, think again.
Those 50-thousand road refugees fleeing tolls on the new bridge are joining you to jam up the Glenn Jackson Bridge even more.
The region and Uncle Sam have pledged 5 billion for the bridge, but the price tag is three times that, and no one knows where to find the other $10 billion.
Not to mention, the toll financing, which voters seem certain to reject, is based on more than 125-thousand folks who use the bridge now…but like I mentioned, 50-thousand of them will flee to toll-free 205.
And you wonder why ODOT demands more billions. Citizens can’t make that green as fast as Northwest politicians spend it.
That’s the Rose City Rap. Join me at noon on KXL for 4 hours of Honestly provocative talk. I’m Lars Larson

Gavin Newscum’s diaper fraud just keeps getting worse…
Both co-CEO’s of baby2baby have deep ties to Newsom, his wife, and all the Democrat and Hollywood elites
Newscum is taking our tax dollars and just redistributing it to his pals.
It’s one big club. youtube.com/shorts/-1Ikgbq…

Let's call out Governor Tina Kotek’s big election-year lie right here, right now.
oregonlive.com/politics/2026/…
Any day of the week, the Governor elected with stolen cryptocurrency will tell you her government is critically short on cash to serve citizens’ needs.
Yet she just signed a deal promising to use taxpayer money to fix up a basketball arena owned by a billionaire.
Kotek’s signature promises more than one-third of a billion dollars to renovate the MODA Center, currently home to the Portland Trailblazers, but maybe not for long.
Less than two years ago, the failed and now former Mayor of Portland, trust-fund-kid Feckless Ted Wheeler, agreed to buy MODA for a dollar.
That was colossally stupid. It put Portland on the hook for the fix-up.
The Blazers have threatened to leave the city altogether without this taxpayer gift.
Kotek’s in re-election trouble, with labor unions abandoning her candidacy and polls showing her support dropping fast, even in the liberal stronghold of Portland.
So Kotek plans to use YOUR cash to buy her way to a win in November.
Alternatively, if MODA’s owner doesn’t get the taxpayer gift, Kotek becomes the woman who sent the Blazers packing…virtually guaranteeing her loss.

A Portland Oregon resident is told about a Donald Trump supporter who was shot and died from the gunshot
The Portland resident responds “Awesome — So the f*ck what? — Tough luck. Don't be a f*cking Trump supporter in Portland”

UPDATE from ODOT!
oregoncatalyst.com/96627-lars-lar…
So, Oregon doesn't see the threat in "86 4 47". but add a few more letters and its a threat.
I pointed out that ODOT's sister agency in New Jersey recalled a very similar plate in the Garden State.
From Chris Crab @OregonDOT;
"Hey Lars, so you know, the New Jersey license plate “FDT 8647” would have also been rejected in Oregon. DMV rejects anything that starts with a version of F*** - such as FU or F or EFF (in a context where it means F***). We’ve rejected F TRUMP as well as F BIDEN in the last couple of years.
