A major investigation with lots of personal testimony documents that the farm labor leader previously revered by American progressives was a child rapist and serial abuser of young women. Proof of the charges is essentially impossible at this point. Chávez died more than 30 years ago. Many of the victims are very old, and most of the incidents happened more than half a century ago. But in the meantime, liberal blue cities put Chavez's name on a lot of stuff to honor him. Portland has a major street named for the man who now appears to have been a pedophile. In a dark irony, North Portland has a K through 8 school named for him, too. The political left picks some real perverts. In the Northwest, former Governor Neil Goldschmidt, an unindicted child rapist. “Tiger suit,” Congressman David Wu. A teen boy chasing former Mayor Sam Adams. At least the blue city folks now scrubbing Chavez's name off have lots of practice.

I saw this headline from @OPB: "With gas prices rising, Oregon drivers are paying some of the highest prices in the country." ...and thought "oh wow - they're going to explain why fuel is more expensive in Oregon and on the west coast..." NOPE - not one mention of the extra $.23/gallon Oregon is paying in a hidden gas tax through LCFS and other "clean fuels" schemes (also this is verified by Oregon DEQ). Really no explanation at all. So, a system with single-party rule by democrats can ignore citizens, tax them for billions, deny the state constitutional right to initiative, and if you don’t like it, your only appeal is to a shyster in a black robe appointed by the same democrats picking your pocket. The reason Kent gives is his opposition to President Trump’s military strikes against Iran. I supported Kent’s two unsuccessful runs for Congress, losing to Marie Perez. He would have been MY member of Congress in Washington’s 3rd district, so I voted for him twice. When he got the job heading up Counter Terrorism, I figured he was a perfect fit. Now, consider what Joe Kent just posted on social media in his resignation letter to President Trump: “Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation.” Excuse me! Iran has been planet Earth’s biggest state sponsor of terrorism for 50 years. They’ve pursued nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles. They’ve funded terrorists like Hamas, Hezbollah, and Houthis that have killed Americans. Even if they never got the technology to deliver a nuke to the U.S., any nuclear-armed Iran would threaten to set off an exchange that could bring in the whole world. Not only that, but Joe Kent decides to resign right after three Islam and Iran-related domestic terrorist attacks on American soil in Texas, Michigan, and at Old Dominion University. And he’s resigned the Counterterrorism role even as the Democrat Party continues its Jihad against funding Homeland Security. Come to think of it, maybe we’re better off WITHOUT Joe in that job.

Congress passed long-term funding for ICE in the Summer of last year. So ICE is still arresting illegals, and it's Americans held hostage in TSA lines. But don’t let the facts get in the way of political posturing by Democrats. TSA wants to show a video at PDX explaining that the long lines are due to the democrats. Portland airport, run by a Port Commission whose members owe their jobs to Governor Tina Kotek, refused to allow the video to be shown. And while domestic terror attacks continue…at least three just last week, democrats refuse to fund Homeland Security. Hey voters, just remember in November who voted WITH the terrorists and illegals and who voted in favor of national security.
