So why pull the plug on "The Bachelorette" just days before premiere? The timing suggests the network may be reacting more to the optics? I pulled a few court docs to get the story straight. Paul's ex, Mortensen, was actually granted a tempory protective order against Paul, TODAY, March 20, 2026. The PO also details that he will have full custody of their child at least until an April 7 hearing- could this open investigation be the real issue here for ABC???

Look I’m not defending TFP actions, but she has from day one been open and honest about the whole DV case. She said she threw a chair, she said her daughter was there. She’s taken accountability for everything. He started recording because he knew he pushed her to her breaking point. That type of anger is reactionary & that doesn’t make it right. They’re both abusers, but one of them at least owned up to it years ago. The other waited three years to release footage and then sell it to TMZ.
