Communication is important, but remember: tone, honesty, listening, and trying to understand. Just talking doesn't make situations better.

@feyiszn As we grow older, we have more responsibilities, we value our time to recover, calm ourselves. Focusing on peace over drama because we realize drama is entertaining but it's draining. But when we care about our friendships we want them to share their struggles so we can heal tgr

Stop listening to people that have not done what you are doing successfully, and people that don't care about your successes or failures.

@CxeSozluk Business is definitely in the territory of random people giving you advice that has no backing. I'm glad you kept on working on your business, your belief in yourself I am sure has paid off. Thanks for sharing brother.

@LarsenMotivates I founded my own company at a young age. Hyperfocus was a side effect that made me good at my job. Then I started to have passion for my job. Still continue... It's been 18 years... Don't let "some" people demotivate you by telling you "you can't do this".

I was once told by a Cognitive Neuroscientist that it's unlikely that I get post secondary education because the % of people with ADHD that do is low (I have ADHD) I graduated in Cognitive science specializing in Neuroscience You can do amazing things despite what others say

@markmanson Success without failure isn't sustainable. It's a fluke. If someone gives me experience based advice without failures I seriously doubt the info.

@Theholisticpsyc You can't just stop addiction. You have to work on it, you have to try again and again, you have to find strength within yourself to overcome it. Addiction is association made repeatedly, and it takes a lot to break an association that has been in your life for a longtime.

Food addiction is real. And people live in so much shame of “why can’t you just stop.” It’s hard to stop something when it’s the only form of love and comfort you ever had in childhood. It’s hard to stop the one thing that soothes and gives a dopamine hit.

@AlbanVillaret The most drastic changes are often the smallest changes in daily life. A philosopher once said " you can only see the journey when you look back" so daily changes really do mount to big ones down the road fr.

Him: "I don't meet interesting women?!" Also him: Working in IT, then going straight home to play games and watch Netflix on the weekend while swiping tinder. I don't blame you, I did the same for years. (except Tinder, I don't like apps) And then I would go out to bars with friends every weekend in my little town in the south of France. But I'd see the same faces. People I went to high school with, co-workers, friends from MMA. Sure I had fun and met women. It never felt quite right, a bit superficial. Until one day I dropped my job in IT to chase a dream. One month later I was in the Philippines to become a Freediving instructor. 3 months later I was now working by the water in beautiful places like the Philippines, Egypt, and Mexico. I'm suddenly surrounded by people who are either learning, teaching or competing in Freediving. The typical client: • Travel • Youngish • Like nature • Decently fit • Adventurous • Try new things Most of my coworkers were smart, kind, and living a life on their own terms. I'd coach and work with world-class athlete and underwater artists full of passion and talent. The result? I made more awesome friends in 4 years and dated more amazing women than in my previous 34. I'm not saying that you should drop everything to become a freediving instructor. (Let me know if you do though) But the point is, your envrionment matters. What you do every day and where you go regularly matters. I see clients looking for quiet nerdy girl who loves to read and hike by going to bars every fridays. Sure you might get lucky but it's like looking for a vegan at a BBQ. So ask yourself: What kind of people do you want in your life and where could you meet them? It doesn't need to be a drastic change, but it needs to be different. Unless you want the same results.

@InnerTuned Hahahhah appreciate the mental clapping. Also I couldn't agree more man! Gotta do what you want to do. Not every opinion is necessary. Your own opinion is your primary focus. The rest are just words if you want them to be

@LarsenMotivates Others may tell us that we'll sink - some might say we can't swim. But sometimes we just gotta take that leap of faith, and go after our hearts' desires. Awesome story Justin! 🥰 I feel like I was clapping in my head for you lol
