He said the reason most Nigerian manufacturing companies struggle is because the only real advantage they have is capital, not proprietary technical know how. He said it makes no sense when capital is the entry barrier into your market. You mean another person with money can wake up and say let me go to China, Germany or US and set up the same grade of capability you have?
His key point was this: real manufacturing capability is power.
That is why relatively small American companies can compete against multibillion dollar corporations and still win contract bids. They possess proprietary technical knowledge that solves a specific problem the client actually wants solved. That expertise becomes their competitive advantage, not just the amount of money they have access to.

The job that will pay big amounts like N5m, N10m monthly is extremely difficult. You get it through entry level (which is extremely rare) or you grow from small to that number over time.
It is same thing with business. Growing a business that gives you N5m or N10m monthly is very difficult. You either secured a huge capital to achieve so (which is rare) or you grow that business from small to big thereby achieving that number.
Whatever struggle you choose, being successful at it is not easy. And none amongst the two is easy.
Do not allow the proliferation of one over the other misled you.
Not so many jobs can pay you N1m in a month.
Not so many business can make N1m profit in a month.
Never lie to yourself, reflect about the kind of person you're, what you want to do, what you believe you can and achieve success, and then delve into it.
Its also normal to be flexible and change overtime.

How do you protect an immensely vulnerable system against a stronger, even God-like adversary?
Well, you use a Shadow Server of course.
Power plants have lots of interesting ideas.
The NIST published a “Situational Awareness For Electric Utilities”. One fun concept is when you absolutely *cannot* protect a system, (imagine a Window XP box that controls the turbines), but still need to interact with it, do the following:
1. Create an (optical) one way diode to another machine
2. Said machine becomes the “shadow historian”
3. All queries interact with shadow data.
To *write* to the vulnerable box, a “protocol break” is required. The data model has to be converted.
In other words, you have a middleman server with a drastically different OS, communication protocol, auth, etc. Conceptually, it’s known as a virtual patch; although the underlying legacy software hasn’t changed, data conversion from say, an HTTP API to an ancient serial protocol.
The patch blocks, or is otherwise physically incapable of satisfying known vulnerability preconditions.
Neat to think about, there’s nothing really preventing you from doing this in your own homelab!

This World Cup gave us the wildest character development
We started by hating Cucurella and somehow ended up loving him. Messi entered as the “humble idol” to some and left looking like the face of anti-football.
Cristiano kept reminding everyone why he’s the most admirable athlete of all time. The world finally discovered that Haaland is very real… especially the girls. Valentín Barco got properly humbled by Bellingham.
And somehow, by the end of it all, Cape Verde became everyone’s dream holiday destination.
What a tournament!

At least 95% of the domestically produced cow meat that is consumed in Nigeria comes from cows that undergo long-distance grazing i.e. 100km - 300km.
Cows that undergo such extensive grazing and transhumance have “tougher” meat that is not ideal for steak.

This thing is BS btw. we have a lot of local cow breeds that are perfect for steak. Except you want something specific like wagyu, we shouldn’t be importing beef. Someone needs to invest in streamlining this value chain
