The testament of this Princeton championship in my view is yes, they were the most talented team and yes, the deepest.
But the difference came not in that, but how they spent one year just chipping away absolutely any chinks they had in the armor, and by May, were faultless

Princeton called timeout and switched to a zone after Notre Dame scored to go up 3-0.
The Irish haven't scored in the 25:11 since.

If you’re Princeton, you jump in to zone for a little just to catch your breath. They have shown it at times all season and may struggle to keep up in 1v1 matchups on defense.

@22classy @LabsandPlanes Well past time for some investigative journalism to dig into lacrosse NIL. Some believe it’s a ghost, Bigfoot. Others, as here, believe it’s becoming real dollars. Like DC, we’re in the latter camp. Be nice to pin down some facts, as hard to come by as they might be.

So if it was for junior and senior year, ~130k total, maybe.
If it was for senior year, 1 year, then that’s gotta be tuition + some!
But generally I’m not sure why everyone’s doubting that NIL money on top of cost of attendance isn’t happening because it is.

All in, PSU tuition, housing, books etc is roughly $65k out of state.
I don’t know why everyone is so shocked, or so aggressively doubting it, that he might have gotten a $50-100k NIL offer on top of cost of attendance.

Not to be reactionary, but the reverberations here could do some lasting damage to this program. Short term, not sure what athlete wants to be caught up in the fallout from this. Plenty of other schools offer a great education and high octane ball. Thorny!

@everythinglaxx @PremierLacrosse wants to brute force a Frankenlax field/box hybrid (that damn 6s again). In the process, the game loses many great field attributes without adding much that makes box awesome. Perhaps there will be enough trad converts plus new fans to make it work. Unsure
