More reports why Sony is trying to end physical discs:
- They want to cut out the middle man, to make more profit per sale (like remove walmart cuts etc)
- Sony thinks the fanbase will not switch platforms, they can do what they please without losing fans
- They are convinced by ignoring this issue, they fans will just accept the changes and convert to 100% digital with time.
- Sony thinks they are "too big to have commination with fans". Talking to fans has no margin benefit, so they refuse to address fans and will keep doing so
I have lost all trust and goodwill with PlayStation, no words what is happening right now. Horrible company

This is much deeper than it may seem at first glance.
Even as a kid in the 90s | was quickly bored by anything non-interactive. I guess today it's unbearable.
This can teach kids today to write manually (which apparently helps cognitively), but instead of inert paper, we have interactivity which makes the process so much more enjoyable.
Learning to drawing perspective?
You have an art teacher genie embedded in your paper giving you feedback in real time, or even showing you the way dynamically, hinting where to draw shadows, or sketching an example on the side to guide you.
Reading or writing poetry?
You have a literature teacher which can help you see the structure of the verse interactively, and encourage you to write you own as you go, line by line, providing hints for relevant synonyms & rhythms without handing them away.
Same with geography, physics, maths, chemistry, history, foreign language, etc.
Most exciting time ever, it’s very clear education, like everything else, is about to be revolutionized completely.

For me, PlayStation started a downward trend around the time it became an American brand. I like some of the western games, and PlayStation always had western games, but the brand itself lost something in 2016 when it became American. A playfulness and customer focused approach.

This is also only a recent phenomenon with video games.
It’s primarily because zoomers, to use their slang, have cooked attention spans. Putting the phone down and actually committing to a video game is too much to ask for with a lot of people.
That’s how bad it’s gotten.

@MongooseRodeo Can you give any sort of estimate of how much of the game is done? Like "roughly half", "all the mechanics are done but not the sprites" etc? Anything to give some sort of indicator of how finished it is, even if it's just "many years from now" or "almost done".
