The cutest bunch of #Otters spotted in Vancouver! River otters live across most of Canada, from west, to east, to even north! Spring is the best time to catch otters, as their pups begin exploring. Have you ever spotted an otter in the wild? 🦦💗 📷mathieucourdesses and kylervos/IG

Breaking news! A major step forward for Indigenous-led conservation in Northern Manitoba has been achieved. Today, four First Nations, alongside the Governments of Canada and Manitoba, released a proposal to protect the Seal River Watershed. The collaborative proposition takes a “star blanket” approach to conservation, combining different tools to ensure long-term protection of lands, waters, and wildlife. It's the time of year when you can monitor bird migration on weather radar! I'm guessing this recent explosion of yellow and orange, non-meteorological echoes is a massive flock of Snow Geese taking flight from Deadhorse Lake, near Hussar, Alberta!

Has your bear spray been in your vehicle all winter long? It might be time for a new one. Storing spray in your vehicle exposes it to extreme temperature variations which can damage your canister over time. Learn more: bearsmart.alberta.ca

@BrianRoemmele Well, it's not "real life in Finland" as those are Rocky Mountain Elk (wapiti) antlers, a species that doesn't live in Finland. No comment on the logistics or plausibility on the premise. 🤦

This looks like CGI, but it's real life in Finland. Farmers have started coating reindeer antlers with reflective paint to help drivers spot them on dark winter roads. The paint is harmless to the animals, but it glows instantly when headlights light it up. This simple trick allows drivers to see them from far away, preventing accidents without changing the animal's behavior.

Area burned by wildfires in Canada in 2025 has already SURPASSED the average we typically see in an entire year. We average about 2.1 million hectares per year, but have already eclipsed 2.6 million hectares. And it's only early June. 🇨🇦🔥
