⚠️Silence is not an option in the face of U.S. military intervention and threats that violate the UN Charter and peace in the region. Canada's failure to call out these violations is deeply worrying. Read APG's letter to @CanadianPM with @comfront01 👉🏽bit.ly/4qHo0HT

Thanks to @JennyKwanBC's Bill C-233, Members of Parliament were forced to go on record about Canada's arming of Israel via the United States. This won't be the last time that they hear from their constituents, who will hold them accountable for where they stood.
Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East@CJPME

Breaking: @MarkJCarney's government just voted against Bill C-233, which would have stopped the flow of weapons to Israel via the United States loophole. Canada has chosen to protect those profiting from genocide. We will not forget how MPs voted in this urgent moment.

Today, Liberals, Conservatives, & the Bloc voted to kill #C233. 🚫⚖️ They chose to keep a massive loophole open that exempts 50% of Canada’s arms exports from human rights oversight. The Carney Liberals talk about values, but their actions say otherwise. #cdnpoli #HumanRights

One hour after posting this, @Rob_Oliphant voted in support of a loophole that allows weapons to be transferred to the Israeli military via the United States. You aren't contributing to peace and stability if you are putting ammunition in the hands of the occupying power.
Rob Oliphant@Rob_Oliphant

Canada is committed to contributing to lasting peace and stability in Palestine. Alleviating the humanitarian situation in Gaza through an unimpeded flow of resources remains a top priority. Thank you to Mohammad Younis, First Secretary of the Palestinian General Delegation in Ottawa, for taking the time to meet with me.

U.S. and Israeli bombardment of Iran is a reckless escalation that risks a catastrophic regional conflict. 🕊️🌍 I’m calling on the Prime Minister to condemn these attacks and ensure Canada is not complicit through arms exports. Watch my full statement youtu.be/D8f8euPDfDs?si…

This afternoon, Parliament will be voting on Bill C-233, the No More Loopholes Act, to stop the flow of arms to Israel via the United States. This is a critical step towards ending complicity in genocide. We will be watching closely to see how MPs vote. cbc.ca/news/politics/…
