@brainybirds_sa @Green_Cheek77 I've heard that from other conure owners! With Alfie (CAG), they can do some major damage anyway, but he (and other Greys I've heard) will chomp hard and not let go. You cannot pull away! Luckily, he's not bitten in ages, and before that was going lightly as he's a sweetie.

The blue and gold macaws are definitely the most common of macaws sold in South Africa. Sadly being freely available also means too many people get them for the wrong reasons and they end up surrendered or rehomed over and over.
