In 2003, I was an intern on Capitol Hill. It’s where Laura and I met and fell in love, and I gave my parents a tour of the Capitol like I owned the place. 20 years later we returned. This time, to be sworn in as a member of the 118th Congress. #AmericanDream 🇺🇸

Walking off the House floor just now after my bill to honor Mayor Ed Honea of Marana passed — a proud moment for Southern Arizona. Mayor Honea was a true American hero who left a lasting mark on AZ-06, and I’m grateful my colleagues joined me in recognizing his legacy. There’s no better way to honor his service and the impact he had on our community. 🇺🇸
🧵: The average participation of special education students enrolled in dual enrollment courses is a mere 2%. BUT dual enrollment is a proven bridge from high school ➡️ college ➡️ career, and the IEP transition plan is the roadmap 🛣. (1/2)
