His behavior is a gross extreme of enforcing "boundaries" on someone, but I do think it's relevant for us normal people to remember as well. You control yourself and your own behavior, not the people you love. Period!

popular opinion: yes they are because they are conditioned to be by society even if unintentionally. what matters is them actively working to be antiracist despite being beneficiaries of systemic racism.
