We had a bright but chilly morning talking to residents in Walkley with local councillors @LauraMcClean123 and @tomhunt100. Many positive conversations with lots of follow up. Thanks to everyone who came 🌹💖

Sheffield has many claims to fame, but perhaps one of the least well known is that the first-ever petition for women’s suffrage by a group of women came from the town in 1851. This was organised by the Women’s Rights Association (WRA). Thank you to @sheffhallamuni for inviting me to the exhibition and plaque unveiling. I’m pleased to say that Sheffield now has many women in leadership positions, some of whom are here today.

Lots of festive fun at the @ZestCentre annual Christmas Family Fun Day. Santa got a birthday cake and the choir had a great sing-along. It was great to see many families enjoy the face painting, games, and activities 🎅🎄

Great to be out with @LauraMcClean123 and the @SheffLabour team in Walkley this evening talking to people and picking up local and national issues. We are out listening to residents all year round.

Our Transport Secretary announced £1billion for local bus services across the UK, a great benefit to Sheffield and a positive step towards tackling the climate crisis. Looking forward to seeing more from the biggest reform to England’s bus system in 40 years.

This morning it was great to meet some of the residents of Northfield Court at their weekly coffee morning ☕🫖 We chatted about lots of different things including the city centre, buses, bins and Bole Hill Park. It was a lovely morning! 🙂🙂

Our buses are not good enough, lots of people in across our city cannot rely on them to get them to where they need to go. The consultation launches on 23 October for you to have your say on the future of our bus services. Please do take part!
